And did Dempsey own or manage the Famingo Park Arena at Miami Beach, Florida in the 1930s/1940s? Lots of boxing shows were staged there, to my understanding.

I knew Manassa Mauler was really named William Harrison Dempsey, but didn't know "Nonpariel"'s real name wasn't Dempsey. Thanks.

Dempsey was the name of either his step father or biological father, and he used it as his ring name. I forget which, I think it was his stepdad but I dont know
