Moore-Duran still on

Post by bennie »

The Commonwealth title fight between holder Jamie Moore and Ossie Duran still takes place as the chief support to Magee-Reid this weekend. Should be a cracker.

Moore was originally supposed to fight Michael Jones last Saturday. My memory is shocking...why did it fall through?

No official reason was ever given. I think they decided it didn't make sense to match two promotional stablemates. Shame.

Just thinking about it, Jones is the mandatory so it will have to happen soon.

I agree, in that I don't think that Moore will go on to be a world-beater, but I just don't think that Duran will be the man to stop the run he's on since his loss to Dixon.

Although he is a welterweight, Duran is a very strong lad.

great match up, should be a cracking fight and with Reid v Magee on it should be a good show.

Anyone else notice the significance of a Duran-Moore matchup? At Light-Middleweight too! In fact it was in June too, 21 years ago!

Duran in 8 anyone?
