Enzo Macrinelli and the WBU belt....

Post by Maddawg »

How many defences will he make of that damn WBU poo? Are we gonna see another Hatton sydrome? Loads of crap fights and defences and avoiding the best in the division.

What's wrong with the traditional route?

WBU is a comfort zone belt. You don’t have to make mandatory defences and you can fight any bum.

He should dump the WBU bollocks belt and go for a decent one then - Euro would be a good start.

IMO the only reason Enzo has kept the WBPoo belt is for the bigger paydays. He even said after he won the belt against Bruce Scott that he knew he wasn't a 'World' champ. Another couple of defences and I feel he'll move on to bigger fights. But then again he is promoted by Wank Sporran, so maybe not :)

He's good, but until he gets it on with Hobson he can't call himself the undisputed champ of Britain let alone the world. Hobson did what Enzo should have done last time out: outclass Lee Swaby. Don't get me wrong, I like Maccarinelli and rate his power. In fact, someone like him is wasted on the WBU.

Sure, Haye is up there, but Hobson has beaten good men like Rob Norton and Swaby, and is thus an obvious candidate for British number one. Maccarinelli's best wins are over Scott and Delaney, two Brits who I would rank alongside Norton and Swaby (though they were getting on a bit), which also puts him up there. Then Haye comes in, courtesy of his win over Arthur Williams.
But Haye is still unproven in my eyes. I want to see him lick a good British cruiserweight.

I agree ,theres nothing stopping Macca going traditional route. The British and Commonwealth fight with Hobson could be made in a miute.FW wont take any chances with Macca....spoon fed crap for next 3 years. The WBU belt aint worth more money than the british, its the fighter thats worth what theyre worth....the promoter can pay whatever he likes for whatever title, belt or fight he wants so thats a total cop out.Its just that if Macca wants to fight for domestic or european honours hes gonna have to fight Hobson or Haye so the other route is miles easier. Cruzat started his career at 155 to160,so god knows what he looks like at 200,and Abdoul has had 5 fights in last year and only won 2,but hey hes got a full week to get ready so that makes it okay then. This WBU WBO stuff is really pissing me of.

What are Enzo's future plans, Reeso? You say he sees the WBU title as just a stepping stone...

They fight he really is craving for is Nelsons WBO, he wants that belt by the end of the year, wants Haye out of the way by early ko, like he says on tv he will fight anyone.

Overall plan is all belts UNDISPUTED

Doesnt matter what he wants, they will only invest in him what they think hes worth.Matches with Hobson and Haye can be made...they just aint trying to make them.Hobson won british on beeb and comm on sky so itcould easily be made if they wanted to.Macca v anyone will end up like Hatton vWitter .......in the bin.

David Haye, Hobson, Swaby and the others have all turned Macc down. Is that Warren's fault - No.

Do you lot need a passport to get into your world?

when did Haye turn him down. According to him he's never been approached. Never heard Warren talk about that either.

Reeso, Your info is invalid Hobson has never been offered to figth Enzo Crapranelli absolute fact.If they wanted the Hobson fight it could be done in a min subject to contracts being approved, its people like u with miss info that gives boxing a bad name uve gotta get your facts straight before you print the rubbish u write. I'am very close to Hobson and your info is absolute rubbish who eva is giving you thats info is being given absolute rubbish aswell. So basically your working with the Bull$hit Crew next thing you'll hear they tried to do the witter deal for Hatton but it neva came off.

Reeso knows his boxing, but I can't see how Lee Swaby would turn down a shot at a man he flattened in his own hometown a few years ago. Swaby has a history of fighting the best guys in their own backyards.

So according to reeso, everybody has turned macca.Thats strange cos Hobson took on a peak Rothman 4 yrs ogo. Also Arslan, german champ and Norton and Swaby twice.Doesnt look like Hobson avoiding anyone does it.

Mr Nelson even said to a source of ours he dont fancy fighting Enzo, and Enzo he hasnt even peaked yet.
Also for him to fight hobson he would have to give up his world belt for British Belt no diss respect to british belt it is a very good achievment, but he personally want give that belt up for hobsons he will go for the next best thing up the ladder and thats the WBO.
But he would be happy to fight Hobson in his own town for no belts on the line.
