You see that prog on c4 last night then Ian?
there was real animal loving going on there I had to turn it off, yank hicks shagging horses unbelievable.

I concur though its barbaric, hunans have a choice in something like boxing wherther they wish to put themselves through it, animals are defenceless and cowards abuse em.

And yes its a shame G man was screwed by the fight as it doesnt get re-shown as much as it would have. Awesome fight tragic outscome, though having read those posts above my sympathy is much less than it was.

Actually, now Real Deal has posted on here it reminds me of something.

Bang up that photo of you with Billy Graham. He looks like one scary mother! Like he's just escaped from a local asylum!

I knew this would happen...all the piss takers on here have given Real Deal a complex and he won't show himself now!

His photos were entertaining but all the jibes about his inability to make a fist have obviously wounded him!

You bastards! Leave Deal alone! 8)

Watch the fight again, the referee continually steps in between the two men for absolutely no reason at all, breaking the action and giving Benn time to recover.

I seem to recall he was a relatively inexperienced referee, and I think perhaps he felt pressured to make the contest continue longer.

Had there been a better ref in there, Benn would have been battered into submission either in the 1st or second rounds. He was given way too much breathing space by an incompetent official./

Taking nothing away from Nigel of course, it's not his job to referee the fight, merely respond to the ref, which he did, but I will always feel the referee robbed McClellan of the win there, and indirectly put him in the state he is in now, whether or not he was a nice guy, doesn't really bother me, he was a fighter, not a Samaritan.

As far as I know, the G Man is still blind, mainly deaf and is cared for round the clock by his sisters, mainly Lisa.

Even she, before his unfortunate downfall used to call him 'a piece of work' as he was pretty nasty.

And James, it might not bother you or not that he was a nice guy but the thread is about scary fighters...McClellan was due to his bad streak. He was also famously a man of few words which added to his menace.

Hopkins is one mean looking hombre. I know you can't usually tell, cos he's got a mask on, but for the Allen fight when he just had his hood up, he looked scary. Fookin' scary.

Foreman freely admits he engaged Frazier in stareouts so Smokin' Joe wouldn't see his knees trembling. Foreman's 1973 destruction of the man is one of the greatest exhibitions of punching ever. Arthur Mercante Snr was as shocked as everyone else and allowed the massacre to continue way too long.

Bloody hell, look at foreman. we had a saying up North. " if he says it's Tuesday, it's Tuesday"

I was going to say the Booth Brothers scare me. Into not wanting to marry a cousin
