Robin Reid return? I don't think he has anything left to offer given his last few showings.

A week ago, Price was quoted by somebody on a local radio station when questioned about a rumour he was signing with hayemaker as saying something similar to "i don't know where that came from". What a lying b...................

Looking forward to his pro career. :box:

Think this is a cracking move for Pricey to be honest.

Was at the Presser today, and was very impressed with the way David came across.

Think he'll do very well in the pro game.

This looks like a top card. Dodson, Quigley, Watson, Matthews, Price, McNally all is action in their hometown. :box: :box: Rhodes V Small will be a cracker too!!!

Stegsie,
Have to say that was up there as a Presser and I've been to a few.
I think local ticket sales will be good, and we'll do well with sales in Yorkshire.
A good bill, top to bottom.
I can't believe Setanta's camera broke down - that would've been a good edited few minutes of entertainment.
Do you know who the guy was who videoed it ?

"Dodson, Quigley, Watson, Matthews, Price, McNally"

Any word on whom they might be fighting? Hopefully not just a bunch of journeymen or Bulgarian second round stoppages.

Yes should be a very good night.

Don't know the guy who was doing the video - bloody shame if that footage was lost. Ryan was making me laugh so much when he was arguing with Small..... classic stuff!

He is indeed.

Tony looked in cracking shape already yesterday - and was his usual confident self. Sure he will do the business on the night :box:

Magee didn't show as he was undergoing his medical before jetting off to camp - he is obviously taking it very seriously. He will need to - Dodson will make it one hell of a fight.

Tony Quigley -V- Paul David for the English super-middleweight title is a deffo. :TU:

Not sure on the rest of the fighters opponents - will have to check my notes from yesterday.

Price v TBA - only just signed so now the work begins.
Quigley v David English Title

Tickets are £28 and there's a buy four get one free offer.
So take three mates and get in for £21. That's good value for money in anyone's books.

Brian Magee defends his British super-middleweight title against former champion and local man Tony Dodson in Liverpool on March 28.
Southpaw Magee, from Belfast, won the title (vacant) with an eight-round knockout of tall Scot Stevie McGuire at Brentwood in December. He is quite the veteran these days at 33, a pro 10 years, and has gone unbeaten in his last eight (one draw) since he took Carl Froch 11 hard rounds in 2006 at York Hall. The latter stands out as a career-best display from Magee, even in defeat, and separates him from Dodson, who lasted only three rounds with Froch, also in 2006. Dodson was making his way back from a succession of back injuries that night and a body shot finished him. Magee buckled the previously unbeaten McGuire with body shots, so we can expect the champion to thump away down there.
Nevertheless, the often dynamic Dodson does pose a threat to the often one-paced Magee, who featured in one of the most lacklustre British title fights of all time against Portsmouth's Tony Oakey at light-heavyweight a couple of years ago in Dublin (the draw on his recent record). Unsurprisingly, Brian dropped back down to super-middleweight afterwards.
Dodson, "The Garston Warrior", holds a memorable win over world-ranked American Brian Barbosa at a day's notice (when Magee didn't fancy it) and won the British title against Northampton's Allan Foster in 11 rounds in Belfast (ironically) in 2003 but those injuries, sustained in a car crash and aggravated in training, led him to relinquish, and strongman Froch turned him back in a subsequent challenge. Tony has won four on the spin since.
On home turf he might just be too aggressive and busy for the clever Magee.

Gethin Watson is for the English Lightweight title as well I think.

Yeah, that does look like a decent card.

Whats the price range- I'm guessing £28 is the upper tier, then it goes up a bit for lower tier, floor etc.
