By Juan Pablo Manfredi: According to European Boxing Union sources the often postponed mandatory defence of middleweight champion Howard Eastman against Spanish Jorge Sendra, will finally take place on September 11 in London with Hennessey Sports promoting.

Last year the EBU called for purse bid that promoter Mick Hennessey won, but injuries suffered by "The Battersea Bomber" moved the date to early this year, when the challenger was the one forced to withdraw and replaced by Sergey Tatevosyan at late notice.

Eastman, 39-1 (34) will start as a heavy favourite against the 27-1-1 (21) who has vacated the Spanish and European Union belts.

To give you an idea of how padded Tatevosyan's record was - after losing to Eastman he loses to another padded-record guy like himself, then "comes back" (can you really come back if you were never there to begin with?) to beat a 1-4 stiff in his latest bout ... by decision.

And Eastman supposedly wants Hopkins.

p.s.: forgot to mention one interesting thing about Tatevosyan - he actually has a win over James Toney. God's truth. Toney obviously doesn't like to talk about it.

How come Mick 'surplus to requirements' Hennessey is still announcing dates? How is he gonna finance Eastman against Sendra or Williams against Hide? - Interesting, is he printing his own money or something. or is his pal Panos using more of the cash he plundered from Sir Lennox and other unsuspecting fighters to prop mighty Mick's crumbling empire up?

Like Warren or Loathe him.... If Walker was with Warren, considering his exciting style and good fan base, the lad would be earning some money, maybe a fringe belt holder, but he would have a means with which to build himself a future.
