Anyone else have ths problem?

Post by DG. »

I have noticed recently that mky SKY BOX goes onto standby opf its own accord.

Taped the Ngoudiujo(?) Vs Urango fight and just nwathed the undrcard etc and at the stater of the fight a SKY message.

'YOUR SKY BOX IS ABOUT TO GO INTO STANDBY MODE - PRESS BACK UP TO EXIT'

WTF!!

So I saw the intro to the fight them nothing!

Searching for the fight before I hear the result!

I had that, but you can turn it off somehow on your options just using your remote. That's as far as I can help you, Derek.

Go into Services/Sky+ Settings and turn Auto Standby off!

It's an absolute pain in the arse.

This feature was introduced in the later Thomson models as part of Sky's environmental policy to save energy. Unfortunately it still resets itself sometimes, so turning it off once won't mean it won't happen again.

It's very annoying.

More than annoying!

I have had the same box for 7 years and it only started doing this the last few days.

That is weird. I thought it was only the newer sets. I wonder if it's the signal that dictates it then.

It might do, either way its a effing pain and explains the numerous blank recordings I have had.
