Barry: Young Stribling

Drats! When I was at the public library the other day, researching old newspaper microfilm, I jotted down a note to a Stribling bout. I neglected to write down his opponent's full name, and merely notated "Gr." - assuming that Stribling's record here was complete and that this bout was already entered. Lo and behold, when I went to add the comment I found the bout wasn't here. It occurred Nov. 6, 1929 Paris, France. Anyone recall his opponent? If not, it's back to the library this weekend.

Stribling probably has several more bouts that have never found their way into any record book, or record for him.

Matt: I added comments to Stribling's 12/07/1929 bout in Paris. It already contained a comment: "This bout was probably fixed." You were identified as the one who entered this bout (or at least the last editor to tweak it). I altered the comment slightly to "reportedly fixed." Is there a source for this comment?
