At the moment it's unclear of his whereabouts.
He was scheduled to fight on Liparota/Korica show @ Coburg Town Hall on Nov 14, but left trainer Louie Korica a few weeks earlier.

He remained in OZ after 2006 C'wealth Games, as did a few others, so there might be probs with Immigration Dept.
Some had been rounded up & sent home.

Same thing existed with Africans after 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Most of what were known as 'African Kings' & based in Adelaide were eventually sent home.

Some of the African Kings are still here though aren't they?

Asiku, Egberime & Izonritei managed to get permanent residency - Izonritei works on oil rigs off South Australia making a mint so he no longer boxes.
Kariuki is still around, but jumps between NZ & OZ when his Visa expires.
The rest were deported long ago.

Like you I've been impressed by the guy - saw a couple of his fights live.

Yannick wasn't the only one from the Cameroon boxing team to stay after the Comm Games - nearly all of them remained in Oz.

Hopefully, at least some of them will be able to legally stay.

Took a break but is back training strong. He's now an Aussie citizen. No.3 in the super middles so hopefully a shot at the title this year.

Good news for Serge & Oz boxing.

Hope you can get him matched-up now Charlie. That's your next challange.
