Not really - Hatton hugged and higged some more and that how he finished the fight - he should hve been thrown out.

Akinwande did much less holding agaisnt Lewis an lok what happened to him.

Urango did well - strong bull like fighter.

I wonder f Hatton would fancy it now? especailly after how he was hurt to the body so many times.

Hatton held but still outboxed Urango with ease....and as Terry pointed out, Urango is a big body puncher...

The people who slagged off this performance are the same people who think Hatton if fighting a 'blown up flyweight' in pacman..they just want to denigrate any of Rickys achievements!!!

Let's not hype Urango into the second coming! He performed very well but Ngoudjo is one dimensional and had no answer for the Colombian.

Ngoudjo is a very decent boxer, so this was a cracking win for Urango, and the nature of it was exceptional. This, without a doubt, looks very decent for Hatton, especially coupled with Hatton hammering Malignaggi. It's just further proof that Hatton is awesome.

I would love to see Malignaggi/Ngoudjo II next though.

I dont think anyone is trying to hype Urango up as the next P4P king...we are just commenting that he is obviously a decent level world champion, not the bum he was pained to be by the Witter fanclub as a way of rubbishing Rickys glittering career!!

I agree mate. As Shaggy said; he's 1D. Maybe even 0.5D. But he makes the most of what he has and is fairly fun to watch. He's a two-time world champion now and deserves some credit. As mentioned above, I think the dislike/discredit of Urango is actually people's feelings for Hatton.

I thought Herman was shafted against Malignaggi... this results puts Paulie in perspective. Urango, who is pretty average, smashed a guy who lots thought beat Paulie comfortably.

This does to a bit of good for Hatton's standing, but at the same time its put a doubt in my head on how much "improved" the "new" Ricky is - cause Malignaggi has gone down alot.

Devision has really poor depth, many thought it should have been Mbaye and not Ngoudjo fighting for this title, and Mbaye definately was lucky to beat Barrie Jones.

I told everyone when Hatton fought Urango that the kid was a tougher test than Castillo, I had Urango winning 4-5 rounds against Ricky the way he hammered the body and had Ricky running. I didn't think much to Hatton's lunging grabs in those late rounds, litterally jumping in and grabbing without even throwing a punch.

Urango isn't a second coming but he is the 140lb David Tua, a sheer physical beast.

BTW Ngoudjo beat Malignaggi and Castillo, and deserved about 4 rounds against Urango

bollocks, apart from the first 4 rounds in which hatton was excellent, the rest was a hug fest, hatton should have been thrown out, it was one of hattons hardest fights and i find it a shame hatton never admitted he was lucky to win this one.

Yeah I agree with that. Ricky looked as good as he ever did in those first 4 rounds but spent the majority of the rest of the fight spoiling and holding, as has been said jumping in a holding without even looking to throw a shot. He made a mockery of his self proclaimed "never in a dull fight" in that one and could have easily had points deducted, whether he was suffering from a cold or not. No way did he outbox Urango with ease
