Hayemaker, York Hall, 31.01.09

I was very impressed with Groves and Maguire, but to be honest I thought Grant was poor - could have seen Sebire winning that, Grant was on the back foot but ineffective. Not seen him before but is that typical?

Grant doesn't seem to have developed a pro's strength , he is usually on the back foot, but that doesn't mean a boxer is weak, you can still be strong and box like that. Maybe it will develop in the next year, but if it doesn't then i can't see him being able to hold off a good pressure fighter in a distance fight.

Have to take your word for that, seeing as I don't know you from Adam. Did you see it? How did you score it?

Only their own Cameras. you could buy a DVD of the show from the man at the back, but I wasnt that fussed. Probably get one from Hayemaker if you are fussed enough.

Was there, spoke to Johnny Eames after. I only gave the French guy the fourth round as Grant was basically too busy.

I was'nt there but i was told as im at the same gym as Grant,it was'nt a good performance from Grant but it was a good win, the kid was W 16 L 2.

He did have a chest infection which he didnt tell anyone till after the fight..

Was told he won the 1st 3 rounds lost the next 2 and won the last.
A fit Grant is Class althought he goes on the backfoot he is becoming much Stronger..
