I Da God and G is the 7th letter made!

My first name has 7 letters in it, F your alphabetical quirk! Six letters for the second name, times that by two and you have the 12 disciples, add 7 + 6 and you have 13, with Judas, the chosen one, thrown into the numerical mix! I cast out demons and anoint the sick (mostly my girlfriend mind) with oils :TU:

Your arms are too short to box with T Diddly :box:

Plus, you said you were Napoleon last week.

You need serious help - you are a nutcase!

What's your motivation asking the question, Jaws ?
You seem an intelligent guy - just form your own opinion and get on with it.
After all, asking the question on Boxrec about Boxrec ain't exactly going to get you a flood of "its shit" comments is it ?!?

Just boxrec for me, but used to post a lot on boxingtalk back in 2002-2003 before it went to pot.

Anyone used to post on the www.boxing.com forum circa 2000/01? That was my first taste of forums and it was thriving at the time. A guy called neilyoungrocks was one of the main posters.

Boxrec is the only boxing forum I've posted on. I've read topics on some of the others and generally found their user's to be more immature than here (DG's trying to fight that statement). I've been on quite a few forums before though, about all kinds of things, and Boxrec is definitely one of the better ones.

Boxrec really varies from section to section. The 'Current Scene' doesn't have a very good reputation, but if you wade through some of the more asinine posts there are some really thoughtful, well-based posts. The Current Scene is very good for keeping up to date with the latest news in the World of boxing.
The 'British Boxing' section is great. There are lots of debates but people generally don't resort to personal attacks. When things have got personal, it's usually because a new user comes on here and causes trouble. The British Boxing section is welcoming though, I think.
The 'Other Sports etc.' section is where people go a bit crazy. You can post pretty much anything and it's not seen as crazy. There's some good stuff there. I like the topic about the last film you've watched and the questions asked are often thought provoking.

I'm very happy here. No need to go anywhere else.

Looked at the others but never bothered posting. Apart from just a few idiots, most of the guys on here seem decent people. In fact some are very helpful and friendly. I enjoy comming on here, we are quite a community. Most days I find things that make laugh.

The Boxing-Monthly forum has been the most entertaining for me over the years. It's a nice change from the usual thread-based forums. Everyone's post ends up on the same page which can make for some pretty lively "discussions". In its heyday it felt like a weird sit-com starring a few knowledgeable characters, with a couple of freaks and social misfits thrown in for comic effect. There's very little traffic there these days and most of the characters who kept it alive have sadly departed. But if there's a real superfight looming, especially one featuring an old-timer, some of the ancient regulars mysteriously reappear like ghosts from the mist. The dear departed whose logins never die.

I posted this thread a few days back now and just wanted to see what reaction i got. As i said before i have always read the three forums mentioned but never posted until this thread. I posted this subject on both here and ESB boxing yet when i tired to post it on doghouse i could registar but couldnt get on for some reason and still cant today. the reasons for my question over forums was that i wanted to see if it just was the same people posting under different names or it was three health forums? The thread i started on ESB was deleted and mainly contained posts about me being an alias and nobody really discussing the subject. As i said with Doghouse i couldnt post the thread so had no feedback but i will know say from what i have read the best posters are here and doghouse with the main difference being this site gets more traffic. After my short experience with ESB i wont be going back as it seems that its just a bunch of kids who are all a bit childish for my liking.

Wotcha Lionel, the Tooting location should have been a giveaway :TU:
Howdy Lionel. Yes, some of the posters on BM were amongst the most knowledgable about boxing I've ever had the pleasure of encountering. I wonder if BC Bob is still alive?
