Irrespective of one mans p4p list, how has justice been done by Dunne getting a crack at Cordoba? Surely Munroe deserves a little credit for outboxing the guy who blew away Dunne?metropol wrote:Rendall Munroe seems way to high . States , to me it was obvious that Munroe did not want to fight Dunne. Substantial offers were made by peters for the fight between Dunne and Munroe and these were turned down , so then Dunne options were limited. Then Dunne expressed interest in a world fight. Now that this world fight has been made it has emerged that Cordobas people were in talks with munroe and Martinez they apparently weren't too interested in this fight. Dunne was Cordobas last choice but the offer from peters was too good to refuse. I presume munroe is going to keep fighting in leisure centers with small crowds because imo Munroe is a level below Dunne.

The thing is, I have no knowledge of offers made to fighters. If you do know more than me, then fair enough. Having no knowledge of negotiations behind the scenes, I can only go on what I see in the ring, and I felt it was a little unfair of you to claim that Munroe hadn't "beaten any decent opposition and also imo has ducked Dunne" when he'd beaten the guy that smashed Dunne.
I wish Dunne all the best against Cordoba, but I'm not sure how you square Dunne as Cordoba's last choice, as opposed to a fighter who, as you say, fights in leisure centres. Surely Dunne was the biggest money?

But from a financial point of view Dunne is probably the one they wanted the most and if they were aware of Dunne's drawing power financially before negotiations with any party had started I'm sure is the one they'd have wanted.

When Munroe beat Martinez to win the European title, Dunne was ranked 13th in the rankings. I felt I had to enter Munroe above Dunne, so I entered Munroe in high at No.13 moving Dunne down a place. Perhaps Munroe is a few places too high, but only by about 2 or 3 places at most. If he beats Martinez again later this month, then I think Munroe will be considered a more solid member of the P4P top 10.

2) JMM is superior to Pacman. He won 10 out of 12 in the 1s fight and won the rematch by 2 points imo.
3) Hatton wold be crushed. Even a Mayweather who hardly threw any punches toyed with him, what would a relentless fast hard punching granite chinned great engined fighter do to him. Calzaghe KO 7.

Calzaghe was floored by Hopkins and Roy Jones, I am not sure his chin is still made of granite.
