MAGEE VS REID TONIGHT!!! KINGS HALL!!!

Post by The Hawk »

I can't wait for this contest tonight, best fight in Belfast in a long time and I'll be there early!!

Even though I'm a Belfast man, my feeling is Robin Reid will win. I'm not blinded because Magee is a local fighter. I'm still not fully convinced by Brian Magee. If he can pull it off then, maybe I'll see him in another light.

If Reid is fully up for this and in a good performace, which I know he will be and Brian win's, then maybe Belfast has another star. Lets face it, Northern Ireland Boxing is badly in need of a next high profile fighter.

I wish both fighters well and can't wait for the atmosphere of a "Big Fight" Night in the famous Kings Hall :TU:

Moore Vs Duran is another cracking fight. I think Jamie has come on well from winning a title, matured more as a pro. I was impressed with his last couple of fights at the Kings Hall. Duran is a soild challenge, I think Moore will win this ok. I think once Duran steps up his level of fighters, in this case Moore it will be too much for him. I think Jamie is the better all rounder and will have the heavier hands.

Looks like a long fight, I'd like to see Jamie box him for the first half of the fight and press for a stoppage in the second half. Try and go for one better than the others who beat Duran and stop him. Looking forward to it!

Unfortunatly I won't get to see the fight, I'll read about it on the text later. However, I am on the Robin Reid bandwagon. Lets hope he wins by KO. I have not backed either fighter.

Should be another cracking fight, Moore may have the edge with the higher natural weight. Cannot write of Duran though, ha is a strong kid.

All in all should be a good night of boxing.

All my instincts tell me Magee is going to make the step up tonight, but I seem to be heavily outnumbered, which is a bit scary. Que sera sera.

The tickets were cheap as hell too :TU: (not that i'm going but still)
Reid tko 6
Moore ud
Not too sure about the Moore fight myself, Duran looks a strong rugged guy who will take some shifting but i don't know what he's like technically and i like Moore's style so i go for a Moores points win.
If Reid doesn't knock him out i think he'll get out pointed.

There is many good pre fight points for both fighters in this fight, thats what makes it so interesting. A real pick'em 50/50 fight!! Boxing needs more of these and I take my hat off for this fight being made. This is what boxing is all about, too much pro longed padding these days.

Bring it on!!!! :TU:

Yes the tickets are very well priced. Real value for money in a good fight. Plenty of shows around these days were you pay through the nose for tickets in fights that are really only showcases of the names.

Bennie, the Kings Hall is at the edge of the city centre, Id say its only about 3 to 4 miles from the Belfast ferry dock. Not far at all. I live only 3 miles from the Kings Hall myself.

Cheers Buzz!!! :TU: You should have come over for it, you'd enjoy it!! Im sure your friends will love it. Good to see plenty of people coming over. There's some nice bars and resturants for before and after as the Kings Hall is at the top end of the Lisburn Road which is lined with them! :TU:

Yes, we should. The King's Hall in Belfast is the British equivalent of Madison Square Garden...has a genuine fight atmosphere.

Yes the atmosphere is fantastic, Im not just saying that because I live here, but the atmosphere is electric, they really know how to get behind their fighters. Also the repect given to away fighters is great.

If a fighter gets what they feel is a home verdict, you will hear the boo's. I have seen that before, not just in the Kings Hall but in the Ulster Hall recently with Mark Winters.

Getting near now, I'll be down for 5pm.

Well next time, Boxrec get together and come over for the Kings Hall!! Kevin, plenty of pubs to carry on with from Cardiff !!!

I don't mind in helping people out with advise for places to stay and things to do. May even be able to arrange some local gym watchs!

Id like to see Breens gym get more local shows going, even more at the Ulster Hall.....we need all the boxing we can get in Belfast and I'd be right behind it!! :TU:
