tommy puts another injured fighter in the ring

first robinson now moore,both injured in training and what does tommy say in the interview both times"thats the first ive heard of the problem".come on i know we slate warren for protecting his golden gooses but this is just silly letting injured fighters step in the ring.opions?

I've never liked Gilmour, I dislike him even more than Warren.

I remember at the Brodie-Chi fight, I was ringside and I was sat a few seats away from him, but he kept staring at me. I know it sounds like paranoia but he actually was constantly glancing and staring at me. I wasn't even doing anything, I was just quitely minding my own buisiness and watching the fights. I know i'm a good looking guy but he was still making me feel uncomfortable!

He looked as gourmless as they come as well.

Very funny glittermonkey, but in all seriousness, he was gawping at me and for what reason it was I don't know. All I know is that i'm a good looking guy and I wasn't doing anything to warrant any staring.

On that night, Gilmour was as gourmless as you could get and really made me uncomfortable, he was annoying me so much, I ended up giving him dirty looks and he stopped then. (What a coincidence!)

felt sorry for Moore, i feel he could have taken Duran if that injury hadnt stopped him fighting to his full ability

I agree Neri, Moore is a decent fighter.

Does anyone reckon Adam Smith caught out Moore's cornerman though? The guy said that Moore hurt his hip in training, then when Smith asked Moore if that was the case, Moore denied it. Then Smith asked the corner guy again and looking rather embarrased, he just said that it was the other hip.

I think he was making excused for his fighter there. But Moore's a tough kid, he took the defeat well and these things happen, he will certainly be back soon.

Gilmour is a good manager, he knew nothing of my niggles and don't think he would of wanted me to be in their if he did, as minor as they were.

I think Gilmour shows a lot of compassion for his fighters. He's probably one of the best in that department as it happens.

Ive always had a great deal of respect for Tommy Gilmour. For years he has almost single handedly kept boxing alive in Scotland, consistently putting on quality shows and now hes teamed up with Matchroom then hopefully this will raise his profile uk wide.

There has seldom, if ever, been any critisism of him, infact until this post id never heard of anyone complaining about him or the way he works and how many promoters/managers can you say that about?

The fact hes involved in organising flyweight tourney featuring Peter Culshaw, Damaen Kelly, Jason Booth and Dale Robinson should ensure that we are garunteed some quality fights later in the year.

Could anyone here possibly see any other promoter in this country, including Uncle Frank, put four of their top names in against each other in an elimination tourney?

This isn't about my looks, the only reason I even thought about mentioning that was because it is the only logical reason I can think of why anyone would look so much at me. I can't think of another reason. Perhaps if I was doing something odd, then fair enough, but I guess if watching the boxing like everyone else is odd, then I guess I must be odd....

Gilmour is one of the best out there in my opinion. And these pre-fight injuries are a non-issue. At the end of the day, boxing is a rough sport and most fighters enter the ring with the odd niggle (but you usually only hear about it if they lose).
I was watching the rugby league yesterday (St Helens v Warrington) and Stevo said most props will be carrying an injury right through to the end of the season from now.
It's inevitable in all rough sports.

Tommy was just looking around the hall to see how the seats were filling. I've seen it with other promoters. They're seated at the front, of course, and have to look to their left or their right to check out what's going on. Christ, I'd hate to bump into Alex after he's had a smoke. Talk about paranoid.
