Fair enough Ed, it did occur to me after I'd posted that the Sky bosses must've asked for an in-between rounds interview - only doing your job so can't blame you for that. No offence intended mate.ed rob wrote:Sorry if the interview came across as pushy. We don't just put someone on the spot and force them into speaking. I asked Oliver before the end of the previous round if he'd have a word and he said fine. Then, when the comms. threw to me, I asked my question and Oliver ignored me, I had to ask the question again. But agreed, it did seem intrusive.
Also I did have a couple of pro fights but never claimed to be any good. I more than knew my own limitations but I love the sport and just wanted to say I'd given it a go.
You're one of the better interviewers as it happens, better than Adam that's for sure.

16-4 (6) as an amateur. Calm down, lad.E wrote:You're dead out of order.bennie wrote:He was a great pro:

So the answer to my question is in fact "You're right, I had no pro fights. So I have no right to make patronising comments about other pro's when I didn't have the guts to have a go."
Thanks for clearing that up.
No problem. Like I say, calm down, lad.E wrote:bennie wrote:16-4 (6) as an amateur. Calm down, lad.E wrote: You're dead out of order.

Bollox, it doesnt matter if he has had a pro or amateur fight, they are both a fight in the ring and deserve as much respect as each other.bennie wrote:E wrote:bennie wrote: 16-4 (6) as an amateur. Calm down, lad.

The amateur fighter is more applaudable as they do not fight for money.
jamie wasnt chinny, just had no balance cause of the injury!!!
And as for people criticising him for taking a risk if he wasnt 100%, first of all he hasnt fought for ages and has to earn a living and second of all there is always the probabilty that the hip would be fine and he would fight well.....
I feel sorry for Moore and his team and although i think they should have pulled Jamie out after the hip went I think they cannot be criticised if he had an injury in training that re-occured in the fight!!!
anyway i wish him a speedy recovery
Ed is always polite to fighters and trainers a like and although it isnt normal to ask the corner questions during a round I think he did it ok....
