Where's Henneseey and his Class of 2002 disappeared to. Is being surplus to requirements too much for the wee man from sarf of the river?

So whats next for Mighty Mick and his band of merry men?

Has Froch jumped ship yet, does Walker know what day it is? Has Mick fled the scene. Is Eastman hidng with Bin laden?

I've looked at Henessey Sports website and he has a very good crop of fighters. Why criticise?

We all know without TV it's impossible to make money in the promotional game so it is looking grim for Hennessy, especially as Sky have also scaled down their domestic boxing coverage recently. His pride will force him to run shows at a loss over the next couple of years and then he'll drop off the scene altogether.

So what do you see happening for boxing television wise and generally in light of suggestions that Skys boxing and affiliated promoters may also be going downhill?

Gawd knows, mate. I just know we had a big show at Belfast on Saturday night and they stuck it on Sky Sports 3 at 9.30pm. That was worrying.

PS: I think promoters like Matchroom are going to work more on a show by show basis with Sky as opposed to any long term deal.
But I really don't know.

I know Sophie Blake presents the speedway, but for Sky to priorities Speedway over boxing is a major concern. I remember an old addition of BM claiming the Sky Sports reported that Boxing was the 3rd biggest ratings puller (Football and Wrestling being the top two). For Sky to dislodge boxing for Speedway (and more worrying is that ringside is on Sky Sports Extra this week). This is a major concern.

Hopefully channel 3 or 5 will pick up on boxing and show a real committment to it. However, that's just hope. :(
