Gilmour is a money hungry old style Manager who doesn't give a shite for his Boxers as long as he gets his cut. He kisses Hearns ass to get them on TV but without Hearn he would be a dinner show promoter which is basically all he is.

Anyway, that said, I don't think he knew about Moores injury, I hear he's been on Holiday. Still should be more responsible though. What about Oliver Harrison, he 's the trainer who should have known better also, trained Farnell too remember.

Tut Tut!

Its the onus of the boxer to pull out when not right. I don't here much of De La Hoya coming into a fight with pre fight injuries. He gets some criticism for it, in my book he gets my respect.

I fought once with a flu so bad, that I had a two strategies, one of these was that the doctor would declare me not medically fit to fight. The other was that I'd go for the knockout in the first 20 seconds, but I was f'd doing the warm up. Unsurprisingly, I didn't fight for that coach again - but I did learn to say no if your not right. I lost the contest to a guy I should never have lost too (he was poor) and people have said you must have regrets, but I've learned more from that than any of my other contest, sparring or anything.

However, the onus is on the Fighter, nobody else.

I remember at the Brodie-Chi fight, I was ringside and I was sat a few seats away from him, but he kept staring at me. I know it sounds like paranoia but he actually was constantly glancing and staring at me. I wasn't even doing anything, I was just quitely minding my own buisiness and watching the fights. I know i'm a good looking guy but he was still making me feel uncomfortable!

He looked as gourmless as they come as well.
aah, looks like the anti scottish racism on this board is as rife as ever judging by the above post.
& to think you all had the cheek to label me "paranoid" when I was in fact correct all along as this post proves beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Don't you remember the rather friendly and easy-going Mr Kauffman?

Don Kauffman you dickhead! Who ever said it had anything to do with him being Scottish!? I never did! My reasons for not liking him have nothing to do with him being Scottish, it is simply because I don't like him.

If you are for real, then you have a serious inferiority complex....

Yes you were right all along Donny Boy - just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not our to get you! If only we'd listened to you in the first place.
Now go back under your bridge and stay there please. :TU:

Gilmour is also responsible for putting Nicky Cook into the ring despite him being a self confessed crack addict who, if his parents are to be believed, was crying out for help and is now in nick. Nice one Thomas, sleep well.

The bottom line is: Tommy Gilmour Junior did not put an injured boxer in the ring. A respected journalist was sitting right behind Gilmour and Steve Wood (Moore's manager) at the show.
When the leg went, Tommy leaned across to Steve and asked him what was going on! He was as baffled as the crowd. Steve admitted it was an injury from training.
I won't give Tommy Gilmour's reply.
