At the BBBofC meeting yesterday, the Board approved and confirmed that the contest between Liverpool's unbeaten John Watson and Martin Gethin will be an Eliminator for the British Lightweight Title.
The 10 round contest features one of Hayemaker's brightest hopes stepping up to do battle with a man who is used to going in against unbeaten prospects.. and coming out on top.
Gethin has beaten John Fewkes and Nadeem Saddique recently and went into both those fights as the underdog, so going up against Watson at the Echo Arena in Liverpool will hold no fears for him.
Both have shown the ability to stop opponents, both are exciting and both have an immense will to win.
This fight could be the fight of the night.
