I thought this might have been at reduced rate under £10 but wrong, in reality should not be ppv!!

Re: Khan fight ppv
It was inevitable that it would be on PPV IMO.
Anyone know what time the fight is going out, is it a 2amer for yank TV?

The Welshman will be in action against the Mexican Ola Afolabi for the Interim WBO World Cruiserweight title.
Surprised they're not telling us Barrera is from Nigeria

PPV is in the contract. Nothing they can do. Personally, I think the card isn't as bad as the Prescott one. I think the main event is an intriguing one. Undecided whether I'll purchase it, though. Maybe if Dirk goes halves with me.
Re: Khan fight ppv
True, Cook and Enzo's bouts are both excellent support bouts too, so on PPV you get three decent fights at least.Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:PPV is in the contract. Nothing they can do. It isn't ppv material in my opinion, so I won't be paying.
Re: Khan fight ppv
I have a feeling this fight will take place before the PPV actually starts- there might be highlights though.whiteboy wrote:hope we get Pryce - Hall live? If not, why not!

Come on guys this is rubbish. International lightweight championship!!! And this from the TV station which supposedly canned fake titles.
It would be funny if it wasn't so bad.
Emerson, just because it is 'in the contract' doesn't mean it isn't a steaming pile of sh*t!
Not paying for this.

Re: Khan fight ppv
what is PPV worthy? can we name 5 fights involving UK fighters
Re: Khan fight ppv
Good point. Hatton V Lacarno (spelling -the recent one at Manchetser City) was not "worth" PPV, but people do it because it is Hatton.sweetscience wrote:what is PPV worthy? can we name 5 fights involving UK fighters
Re: Khan fight ppv
Sky and SN are gradually changing our perception of what should and shouldn't be PPV.
A shaky recently knocked-out prospect against a vetran in a non-title bout is a laughable PPV when we used to get multi world title events but now I'm thinking 'hey it's Barerra against a Brit I'll pay for it'.

Re: Khan fight ppv
Absolutely, they're taking the fvck with PPV for a not great product, at a bad time when many can't afford to watch boxing, or at least won't fork out extra money like that. Khan is still a boy, he hasn't even beaten the best of his own country, and he's a PPV "attraction". It's preposterous. I want British boxing to have big names, but this kind of greed makes me want to see Khan fail.
Re: Khan fight ppv
You will see Khan fail. His glass jaw wont hold up to any top level opponent who can hit. Can you imagine what Pacman or Marquez or even Juan Diaz would do to Khans face? Second rate fight with one guy whos past it and another who never had it. No chance of me buying ithttp://forum.boxrec.com/posting.php?mode=quote&f=9&p=1629521#Autobarn wrote:Absolutely, they're taking the fvck with PPV for a not great product, at a bad time when many can't afford to watch boxing, or at least won't fork out extra money like that. Re: Khan fight ppv
What a joke..... Khan has yet to prove himself against anyone even remotely near to world class level. His only other PPV was a joke, it should never have been on PPV in the first place as the columbian dude was a complete unkown, then add to that the fact that he sparked Khan out in under 45 seconds and it should be clear enough to anyone that Khan is definately not PPV material.
Re: Khan fight ppv
Missed a bit of a trick here haven't they, easily bill it as the Brit who went out to the US coming back home to fight Maccarinelli for a world title.MightyWarrior wrote:The Welshman will be in action against the Mexican Ola Afolabi for the Interim WBO World Cruiserweight title.

Warren would never risk his cash cow against Barerra would have been the line on this forum before this fight was announced ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)
Re: Khan fight ppv
I did think it was rather premature for some of the members here and some members of the press to suggest that Prescott would be Khan's first and only PPV for a long time.
Sky don't take defeats into account when deciding a fighter is PPV. Once you are classed PPV - all your fights are on SBO.

Re: Khan fight ppv
Stu Khan under contract to fight on box office it doesn't matter who is opponent is or how he did in his last fight.
Re: Khan fight ppv
You would think a 'contract' with a PROSPECT would include clauses in case of defeat, particularly a KO1 defeat to unknowns though, no?REAL_DEAL wrote:Stu Khan under contract to fight on box office it doesn't matter who is opponent is or how he did in his last fight.
