Much better venue imo. If it rained at the The Bridge, it'd be a nightmare.

What would be the largest legal size for the ring?

Is it 24x24?

If so, is anybody surprised that Steward has supposedly said they want 20x20, rather than 24x24?

I'd presume that they would want the largest possible.

The 02 is a fantastic venue but personally i think there is something special about an outdoors fight.

Certainly there is in mid summer!

But at the moment I think only Ricky Hatton could sell enough tickets to justify a venue of that size.

And with our "summer weather", it could be more of a financial risk.

Why are Haye and Wlad taking a long layoff before the fight? :o :witzend:

I`m not really sure if a bigger or smaller ring would suite Klitschko best??

By having a large ring would probably enable David too much movement and extra room to get angles with his quicker hands .. whilst a smaller ring would/could enable Wlad to crowd and keep haye on the end of his ram-rod
jab.. tricky decision :witzend:

It won't make any difference if you put the fight on in a phone booth or on a cricket pitch, Wlad gets KTFO either way. Haye's got way too much speed and power, it'll all be over by the third.

Can't find any odds for this fight yet though :(

Are you serious???? Haye is too small, his chin won't hold up to Wlad's 80% KO record. No chance of Haye being anything but a huge underdog. Chris Arreola wold have a better shot.

As much as I`d like to see David win - I just see him getting ko-ed quite easilly :(
Klitschko won`t stand there winging away and taking chances like his other losses have accumaluted from, he`ll use his size to dominate and despatch Haye .. much like he has been doing for quite awhile now :-?

I just kinda see haye reacting to a Wlad jab in a simillar way Khan reacted to Prescotts jab .. a type of knee wobbling realisation .. :oo

I`d be more convinced if Haye had more experience at heavyweight, I just kinda see him wanting a big money fight against Klitschko asap before he gets found out at the heavier weight.

Wlads impressive KO record means fcuk all if he's sparked out on the canvas in the second round.

Arreola is slower than a stoned Sam Peter, he'd be eating jab all night, whereas Haye will be bobbing ad weaving then BANG the show's over and Haye moves onto his BIGGER Brother

Yeah tend to agree with that, though Haye at least has the get out of jail punch here that Khan maybe didn't...

And it an interesting dilemma for Manny Steward isn't it - does he go for the bigger or smaller ring?

Do you feel lucky, punk?

Well, he's already been KO'd by a semi pro golfer, an old journeyman and a limited slugger. We're not exactly dealing with a prime George Foreman here.

:shame: I want less Charlie Zelenoff talking(he has balls though I ain't questioning that he and people like Froch talk simular) and more active boxing.

June Is a while away, Is he trying to catch up on some celebrity lifestyle before being chin checked by Wlad?

I like this fight. Sadly I only think Haye and Povetkin are live underdogs vs Klitschko . . .Wlad's a good fighter, but it's more b/c the rest of the division is down the crapper. Chagaev looked like crap IMO last weekend and beyond that you have your usual bum tour of Peter, Arreola, Valuev, Ruiz etc.

The more I've seen of Haye the more I'm disappointed. For all his athleticism, Haye fights way too cocky with his hands down and frankly his conditioning and defense are simply not good enough for him to be doing faux Roy Jones moves in there. Looking at the Fragomeni and Mormeck fights, he throws punches too wide, gets easily off-balance, often backs straight up from shots instead of giving angles and after 4 rounds looks to be a little knackered.

That being said, Wlad has been feasting on a sad crop. The last opponent with good handspeed he faced was Ibragimov and Wlad responded by fighting a very defensive fight vs an opponent not doing much to test him. Haye will have to take chances, early, to have a shot. But if he does, he can win. He'll have to condition himself to remain on his toes at all times and meet Wlad's jab with two and three jabs back. He'd also do well practicing counter right hands and uppercuts through Wlad's sometimes clumsy guard.

Of course, this will only work if Haye's chin can last some solid Klitschko shots. And we really don't know that yet. I hope Haye can live up to his hype and liven up the division with a win. But boy does he have some big question marks.

David has plenty of time on his hands.
Glad to hear it has gone inside.

If I were Haye obviously you have to keep clean,no booze and drugs and all that sh*t.
But take a clear look at yourself and what YOU do wrong to begin with.
Be your worst critic.

Klitschko.

Klitschko is Manny Steward and Steward Klitschko.
Klitschko learned what Lennox Lewis did via Steward.
Obviously look at all Klitschko fights, but look at Lennox Lewis fights from say Botha or Tua on.
That's when Lewis realised a major part of his defence lay in a simple step or two backwards,it forced his opponents to swing and miss and create openings for himself.
Lewis was never in the danger zone merely because of taking those simple steps.
Yes a couple of other issues come into play but those played a large role.
Height and reach advantage for Wladimir and a step or two back creates a massive gap for an offensive fighter to land a shot.
It's almost impossible.

But that is the Klitschko/Steward gig in part.
Klitschko has a big screen beside his ring in training, another important factor.
He is training while looking at his opponent in HD.
Gotta pay attention to these issues if you want to beat the guy.
The Germans are smart in the way they look after their people.
But there are ways around it. ;;-)
