Help

Post by Zafiki »

Just keep it natural. The workouts will make you faster and stronger, don't go near the creatine and that junk, eat healthy balanced meals and stay active, that's the key. I'm 15 and started boxing nearly a year ago, I had my first fight after 4 months, 2 years seems very long to me.

Creatine will help, in small amounts (5-10 g only). This way you won't become too bulky, or blow up in weight classes too fast. A good multi-vitamin will help, too.

yeah creatine will add weight to you about 10 lbs. in the first month because it makes you retain alot of water mainly..but we don't recommened any supplements to any of our fighters under 19, since that is usally where natural growth stops.like someone suggested stick to a healty diet and multi-vitamins..your coach should be able to help you with this.

creatine

Creatine wont add weight to you if you do not follow the "loading phase" which consists of taking several doses of creatine each day. Just take one dose of about 5 grams or so per day.

Don`t bother with the creatine, lots of fellas where I work do the weights and take it for that.

Boxers, as said need to keep it natural, I have been told taking creatine too often stops the body producing it naturally, work on your fitness, bag work, road work, floor work and the necessary ring work and you will find your natural weight your strongest at, there are no short cuts.

to each his own I guess, it's tricky discussing supplement, just like weighttraining..lots of old school trainers don't believe in it, but I include it in my training. your body from what I'm told my nutritionist doesn't produce enough naturaly from your diet, so I chose to take about 4 grams a day extra..consult a sports medicine doctor before making your decision based on what you hear from a message board.

You have to take a look at several factors. What weight class will you fall in after you get into shape. Creatine will work great for developing power, but the creatine system is a quick explosive system in the body and fatigues rapidly. You would be better to train natural because creatine will make you gain some muscle and water weight which could cause you to go up a weight class or two. Trust me, I ended up lt hvy when i should be lt weight or welterweight/

When I was a teenager I wanted to go up a couple of weightclasses so I too took supplements.

First I treid the shakes with lots of calories in them. However, I actually LOST 3 pounds because the shakes still had less calories than an average meal I ate.

Second, when I was in college I tried to bulk up for sports and tried creatine. I did put on 8 pounds and felt my muscle endourance was higher. However this was simply due to the fact that my muscle was taking in more water than it naturaly can. Creatine simply saturates the muscles with water. The big problem was that who knows where it was taking the water from? I was up most of the night having to urinate because of the more wtare I had to consume. plus (and this is a big problem) I was sh*ting blood after just the first week. Therefore, I stopped taking it. My symptoms were gone two days later.

If you want to bulk up eat the two easiest proteins your body can take in: Whey and Eggs. Don't worry about eating yolks. As a young guy, you need the vitamins/minerals in egg yolks. Yolks are filled with all B vitamins and zinc. You need both of those if you workout hard.

Good luck

you should be looking to have your first fight after roughly 3 months.

to get your self in shape you'll need to run 8-10 miles a week, if you need to lose weight or tone up your body mass try running with a bin liner on underneath your clothes whilst you run.

Go the gym 3 times a week for 1 or 2 hour sessions abd work your bollocks of with plenty of skipping (vary your speeds). if you want to sharpen up your speed get your trainer to do 3-5 rounds on the hand pads each time your at the gym. and most of all do lots and lots of sparring, after-all bags and pads dont hit back so its the closest you'll get to fight experience but dont let that fool you because real fights are a different kettle fish...

good luck kiddo
