I agreeforcefraser wrote:The point is that Wlad has boxed nearly 250 pro rounds, a lot of them at championship level (allegedly). Haye has fought 78 rounds as a pro, so I think it is a fair comment that Wlad is more ring wise than Haye. He has far greater experience. This is only Haye`s 23 rd fight, whereas Wlad is up in his 50`s.
Haye has not had that many tests either, Mormack and Frogomeni aside, who has he beaten??? Big mac and a disinterested Monte Barret??
Wlad got of the floor to beat Samuel Peter, he knows how to win tough if needed.
Don`t get me wrong, I want Haye to win, but I just don`t see it happening.

Is Wlad American all of a sudden? Last time I checked he was UkrainianDioufy wrote:I think Haye does Wlad too, but I wouldn't take any notice of what them chumps say - they question anyone who isn't American.
Re: David Haye and the Current Scene ?
I can't wait till haye puts wlad on his back, alot of people on current scene want him to fail because they dont like his "arrogance" when all he is doing is speaking the truth about that "sucky" division.
Re: David Haye and the Current Scene ?
And that's why he still gets critiqued by them. My point entirely.hitman09 wrote:Is Wlad American all of a sudden? Last time I checked he was UkrainianDioufy wrote:I think Haye does Wlad too, but I wouldn't take any notice of what them chumps say - they question anyone who isn't American.

Re: David Haye and the Current Scene ?
Why should he get a straight shot at a HW title because of being the best In a lower weight class? He's proved himself at CW undoubtley but this Is HW and he struggled with a regional level at best washed up Barrett.
Wlad's going to go PHD on his ass even though I want Haye to win.

Re: David Haye and the Current Scene ?
He may not derserve it entirely, but what other match-up is more sexy out there at the moment in the heavyweight division? Yes, Povetkin is mandatory - the only guy more derserving and viable that Wlad can fight, but isn't he still injured at the moment? And If Wlad does beat Haye, then I have no doubt Povetkin will be next in line - I can't see the IBF stripping Wlad if he has a fight signed with Povetkin before their fighting deadline in September, but don't you dare quote me on that. The only other "more deserving" candidates who Wlad could potentionally fight next are Vitali (no chance that will happen), Chagaev (tied up with the WBA and Valuev), Valuev (ditto with Chagaev), Peter (coming off a big loss), Arreola (how is he more deserving than Haye, the big fat plodder), and Dimitrenko (who I could live with, but the world would still rather see Haye in the ring rather than this dude).Max Molyneux wrote:Why should he get a straight shot at a HW title because of being the best In a lower weight class?
If this division was a strong and a deep one then Haye wouldn't get his shot yet, however, it's piss poor, thus allowing Haye a early shot. And rightly so.
Haye BIG!!! KO in four rounds.

Should we take the RRE out of the Current scene?
I think so!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7893143.stmHaye offers Klitschko German bout
David Haye has offered to fight WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in Germany after prospects of the bout taking place in London faded.
Haye's camp seemed close to agreeing a deal for a June bout in London but the fight itself could now be in doubt unless an agreement is found quickly.
Haye wants the fight so much he would travel to Klitschko's backyard for it.
"David will fight Wladimir anywhere they choose," the 28-year-old's trainer and manager Adam Booth said.
Klitschko, 32, who is based in Germany, boasts 52 wins in 55 bouts.
His last success came on 13 December when the referee stopped American Hasim Rahman's punishment in the seventh round.
Haye defeated American Monte Barrett last November and has 21 wins inside the limit in 22 fights, with one defeat.
Booth said that in order to persuade the Klitschko camp to sign up to the fight they had offered them the two rematch options they requested.
"In regards to the rematches clause, I am baffled as to why Klitschko co-manager Bernd Bonte seems to have forgotten our last conversation about this," said Booth.
"We said they could have the two rematches they wanted, which effectively means David's next three fights could be in Germany against either Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko.
"David doesn't want to dodge Wladimir and just pick and choose his way through boring, fringe contenders.
"He wants to fight the best and restore some excitement to the heavyweight division. We only hope Wladimir feels the same way."
Londoner Haye had originally been expected to fight Wladimir's elder brother Vitali for the WBC belt.
However, in January Vitali revealed that the siblings had tossed a coin to decide who should fight former undisputed cruiserweight champion Haye.
Vitali, 37, who had announced his retirement in 2005 but reclaimed his WBC title last year, is now preparing for a mandatory defence against Juan Carlos Gomez of Cuba on 21 March.

Re: David Haye and the Current Scene ?
I think its a mix of things, most Crusers dont do that well at HW, Haye isn't proven at HW, Cruser isn't a glamourous division, Haye only won big fight at Cruser in many peoples eyes, Haye looks vunerable, Haye isn't as good as the 90s HWs. Plus the Yank HWs are piss poor, Toney is a fat MW and still their best, Areola is shit, if Dawson moved to HW he'd probably be their best
But HW is pretty dead and Haye-Klit is the only really competitive fight, Povetkin/Gomez offer semi-threats but nothing deadly

If Haye stayed at Cruiserweight and Dawson moved upto Cruiserweight what would give Dawson the right to fight Haye the undisputed champion ??? but people would be calling out for the fight because it would be exciting. ie Haye v Klit

The factis, NOBODY can beat Wlad Klitschko except possibly Vitali, and that'll never happen.
