There was evidence in the Uriah Grant fight to support the 'I dont want to see Thompson in with anyone very good' theory.
Nelson would be a bad fight for Carl, granted. But it would be an interesting story and the division needs that impetus as does the autumn of Johnny's career.
I think Nelson would do a bigger number this time round than Last, Thompson is badly gone, had Rothmann been able to plant his feet and punch he would and really should have had him out of there.
great ko though, credit where credit is due, thompson pulled it out the bag, but I agree he sould get taken to task by Nelson and it would be long and systematic, I think Haye is a better fight generating more interest and a garaunteed slug fest for 3 rounds with Haye KO-ing the Cat

Yes, funnily, I think Carl would get less badly hurt by Haye, it would be a swift and thunderous KO, wheras the light fisted Nelson would hammer him relentless for many rounds before he went over.
Haye v Enzo would be a cracker whilst it lasted. As someone at the BBC joked when it looked like the fight might actually happen on the Beeb for a while.
I've enjoyed what I've seen of Johannsen, got that rugged 'American' style, don't see him being good enough to break world class, and will probably be another Adrian Stone, way too good for domestic level, not quite good enough to make it at world level.
Yes, J, of course, I'm sure you predicted that after getting heavily decked in the second, he would cut James whilst boring in with the 'heid' and open his eye up like a horse's fanny, thus causing a stoppage due to the ridiculous nature of British boxing board rules.
