PRIZEFIGHTER LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
Re: PRIZEFIGHTER LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
I saw Ajisafe spark out Adie Whitmore on the Rendall Munroe vs Martirosian undercard last year, and it was an impressive KO, he looks to be one of those potential hidden gems imo.
Out of the others I'd take Tony Oakey for the fact he has the sheer workrate to get to someone like Fry in a quick fight, Fry has never convinced me he has the full desire to really win something like this, he seems to have a very languid laid back style, as if he isn't ever 100% motivated.
Anyone got any odds, I'll try and find some now.

Bet365 Skybet
Fry, C 6/4 13/8
Dilks, C 9/2 4
Ajisafe, B 9/2 5
Boyle, B 15/2 6
Oakey, T 15/2 6
Spartacus, S 10 8
Stubbs, D 16 18
Davies, S 25 25
Found these odds at http://www.puntersodds.com/boxing/prize ... hts/winner
Fry the big favourite there but I would oppose him tbh, looks like theyve had a big bet on AJisafe as I heard he was about 9/1 last time I saw odds on Sky SPorts, unless my memory is gone.
Oakey and Ajisafe my punts then! I have seen nothing I can remember of Boyle though so would like to know anyone's opinions on the lad.

Re: PRIZEFIGHTER LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
Is the 25 grand prize money to the winner the only prize money or do any of the other boxers get smaller fees? I read somewhere that the 25k was part of a 67k (or something like) pot.
Re: PRIZEFIGHTER LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
Interesting comments - what makes you think Oakey is that far gone that he cannot compete at this level, has training gone bad?teddy007 wrote:Tommy Gunn13 wrote:The winner out of the first semi,Should be Fry or Oakey
Il stick with my pick from the start..Courtney Fry
Oakey will not beat Boyle. Oakey is past it big time.

Yep I agree, just have a feeling Ajisafe might pull this one off.TheCobra wrote:I saw Ajisafe spark out Adie Whitmore on the Rendall Munroe vs Martirosian undercard last year, and it was an impressive KO, he looks to be one of those potential hidden gems imo.

Far from it.... He took the Nathan Cleverly fight at short notice, was beating DF with only a few rounds to go....
He's trained 100% for this and there will be NO stopping him
Re: PRIZEFIGHTER LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
Sorry but he was not beating DF, nowhere near. But the more I think of it the more Oakey has got a chance at this format but i believe he is finished at the championship distance.Londonirish wrote:teddy007 wrote:

Anyone agree that Oakey, Ajisafe, and Stubbs to win their quarter final bouts is a good punt? Its just over 5 to 1

2 behind at the stage of the stoppage but could if been more. Francis was in controls for large parts but boxing is one of the subjective sports there is mate.

Spartacus has to have a chance here, the short format will suit him, as he is aggressive and comes forward, he's faded late in fights before - won't be a problem here.

I think Spartacus has a chance in quarters but not for the whole thing at all. I think he's bout with Stubbs is a coin flip imo, so 5/4 on Stubbs is a bit of value i think!
