Now we have a rehash division. Were people like Briggs, Rahman, Maskaev get rehashed. A shot Holyfield beat Rhaman just as quick as fricken Wlad did.

Patterson challenged for the title 4x, Ali 3x(not including Frazier), Holmes 5x, Mr. Evan Holy Field a staggering 8x, soon to be 9x, maybe 10 or 11x or set a record for cheaper by the dozen.

Somehow the poor chap has managed to look shot to smithereens through most of his heavy career after a fairly easy run at cruiser. At the end of the day, was he ever better than Mike Weaver? Weaver was never artificially boosted by a weak cruiser division to gild his lilly before moving up.

BTW, Wlad knocked down and knocked out Rahman. Mr. Evan Holy Field never even knocked Rahman down, though he did a great job butting him which caused the Technical Decision after Rahman's eye grotestequly swelled up and threatened to burst. Was quite fortunate not to be DQed during his career impersonations of a billy goat.

If there had been 4 major belts floating around in Patterson and Ali's day, who knows how many 'title-shots' they would've received . . to compare those eras in turns of title-shots is just idiotic.

oooh, so Wlad knocked a 253 lb 36 yr old version of Rahman out . . what an accomplishment. Holyfield was outboxing a 224 lb 29 yr old Rahman despite being nearly 40 years old himself, I'll let the other posters here make the judgment call on what is more impressive.

Did Mike Weaver get a record of wins over Bowe,Tyson,Moorer,Mercer,Dokes,Foreman,Holmes,Rahman, unofficially Valuev and give Lewis a very close fight at 37 years old? Did Mike Weaver have an iron chin? Case closed.

- Yepper, but Mike the Dream Weaver turned out to be less of a flop in the "rehash" department, going 1-2-1 to Larry's 1-4 record.

Sorta like losing the battle but winning the war kind of scenario. Hey, no flies on Herc. He fought Duane Bobick, Tate, Tillis, Coetzee, Dokes and Thomas when Larry wouldn't touch those guys. He also fought Leroy Jones and Scott LeDoux before Larry ever gave them title shots.
