Danny Williams more overrated then Audley Harrison?
Personally I think he is overrated. I think he has no more skill then Audley Harrison does, but at least a lot of people think Audley is crap. By definition if a good 60-70% of the fan base think you are shit, you can't be overrated. Whereas Danny Williams is on the same level as Audley, but people go on like he is the next Lennox Lewis.

Danny Williams isnt over rated. Fans who know their boxing know Dannys limitations, the main one whic is his mental preperations, or lack of them.
The difference is that Danny knows and acknowledges his shortcomings where as Audley thinks we all believe hes as highly rated as he thinks he is himself

I dunno. I know Audley gives it mouth, and his insulting, and outrageously false statement of winning a British title in five fights and a world title in ten didn't help. And I know he always goes on about winning the world title, and though many people think he is too old and doesn't have time, but that just shows ambition.
I have heard people claim that Williams is a great boxer, and will soon be a world champion. He might not think this himself, but I didn't actually realise that he was as generally regarded to be an under-achiever I was under the impression a lot of people thought him to be the next Lennox Lewis.
I had a link at one point, can't find it now, taken from the BBC website where he claimed he wanted Lewis's retirement match to be against him, and was saying it should be in London because Lewis owes his British fans one last fight. It was shortly before he lost to Sin Simal Sam. He kept quiet about it after that.

Exactly, I think that's what people mean by 'over-rated'. Some go on like Danny would be something special if he could just get his head together which I don't see.007 wrote:Williams is average at best. All this talk of his being talented but not showing it is in my opinion rubbish. I've not seen it, decent fighters dont get beaten by Francis and Sprott. Think about it like this, can you imagine either of those two beating Harrison? I can't.
I will concede he does have mental issues in the ring but I doubt they are that much of a factor.
