Re: Mick Jennings
10am, but I've bought in Midnight Oil specially, and an aromatic candle with a wick at each end. Not to mention 4 cans of Boddingtons and a packet of Fig Rolls.
Re: Mick Jennings
Mmmmm - fig rolls!
I'm going to be freezing my knackers off in a caravan just outside Bournemouth this weekend, so I'll have to avoid the result until Monday regardless, unless it's on Radio 5. Like most people on here, it seems, I'll be made up for Jennings if he wins, I just can't see how he'll do it.

Re: Mick Jennings

Re: Mick Jennings
Dave, I thought it was on Setanta, as part of the Pavlik/Rubio card.
Re: Mick Jennings
ah right, just heard a few rumours it wasn't on and there aint much on setanta to suggest it is thats all
Re: Mick Jennings
I cant believe that a british fighter is fighting one of the top fighters in the world for a title and we dont get to watch it live? fornicating joke and then some. Well done Frank. Cock.

this is a short film about a small lancashire town getting behind the local hero.

Re: Mick Jennings
Yeah, but for me it's just not the same as live action. Once an event has happened, the temptation to check out the result is too strong.Wales wrote:10am delay... that'll do me, better than a kick up the arse and im sure I can avoid the result till 10am.
Plus I like to bet "in play."

I used to train at Chorley ABC - Reece Bretherton is a legend! And I tell you what - I've trained in three other amateur gyms since then and his was far and away the best. Good luck Jennings!

he ain't interested in us lot wanting to see it.
jennings is hardly a fighter with a profile as it is.
cotto's gonna massacre the kid but that ain't the point.

Re: Mick Jennings
If this is Warren meddling then all he is doing is denying Mick of great exposure in the biggest fight of his career. Absolutely ridiculous, why do Setanta constantly advertise fights that they dont have the contracts signed and sealed to show?!

wernt we all praising setanta a month ago cause they have the exclusive deal with toprank and this had nothing to do with warren.... now its cause he doesnt want us to see ithitman_hatton1 wrote:typical warren.

The Setanta deal with Top Rank excludes fights involving Brits with their own TV deal. allegedly promotes Mick Jennings. FW has TV deal with Sky Sports. Hence the legal question/problem of whether Mick has his own TV deal.
The legal clause was probably included in case of a Top Rank promoted Manny v Hatton, but it has affected this one too unfortunately. That's my understanding anyway.
Sh1te isn't it?

Cotto - Jennings on Setanta?
It was originally advertised as being live on Setanta but now there is no mention of it on the website or on the adverts. They mention Pavlik-Rubio but not Cotto-Jennings. Anybody know what is going on?

Re: Cotto - Jennings on Setanta?
I asked Buncey and its basically up in the air - they just didn't know. He had a theory what was holding it up.
I hope with all my hearts its on live, I've got Sky put in three weeks ago in the bedroom for just such events.
Come on Setanta - FW work it out.

Re: Cotto - Jennings on Setanta?
On Sunday there are a few programmes on that say 'Boxing - Top international action' or something like that. So I'm assuming thats Cotto-Jennings and at least they have the repeats which is better than nothing I suppose.
Re: Cotto - Jennings on Setanta?
Time for everyone to bombared setanta pleading for it to be on??
Re: Cotto - Jennings on Setanta?
I don't see what this has to do with FW - its not his show.... he doesn't own the rights to it.
Re: Cotto - Jennings on Setanta?
Jennings is his fighter though. I fit is FW then he is reducing Jennings' audience & faffing boxing fans about. Ppl will either watch Jennings or Pavlik-Rubio otherwise.
Re: Cotto - Jennings on Setanta?
I've read the other thread now - and it seems a bit more clear as to why Frank might have a "pull"... I'm sure Setanta will be so impressed with this maneover if correct. I guess any "out of court" settlement regarding a pending breach of contract will be out of the window... and also another option for the Olympians gone down the swanny.
Re: Mick Jennings (merged)
I would like to believe that Jennings is in a better position to mount a challenge than Gary Lockett, but I give him even less chance of pulling off an upset. Good luck
Can't see anything on BBC radio Five yet, might be worth keeping an eye on their schedule :
