I first read Jordan's interview ages ago in the original edition of Peter Heller's "In This Corner". Naturally, all I could think of was "WTF??" He claims to have killed something like 30 or 40 people in a single month - in other words, an average of one person a day. I thought, how the hell could that be possible?? Then I was imagining what must've gone through Heller's mind as he was trapped all alone in this room interviewing this maniac.
Later, I heard that Jordan had been murdered, and that made the whole thing even more disturbing. I wondered, was it some kind of vendetta from his childhood??
Later, when the second edition of Heller's book was released, I bought it, but really didn't give it a second read outside of the new additions to it. The other day, I happened to be browsing it for the first time in a while, and I gave Jordan's interview a second look. Well wouldn't you know! - there's a newly added footnote at the bottom pointing out that Jordan's claims of being an assassin, and even growing up in the Dominica Republic, are all a bunch of bullsh*t (not Heller's exact words, but you get the idea
Anyway, does anyone have any more details on this? Why the hell would Jordan make up a bunch of bullshit like this?? Was he in general some kind of weirdo? Also, does anyone have any more details on his death? From what I understand he was given a blow to the head during a mugging, and never recovered.
