Enzo's last title fight off cos he wouldnt sign 3 year deal
Re: Enzo's last title fight off cos he wouldnt sign 3 year deal
Well the Olympians haven't started off to the great start. No TV deal secured untill about a week before the fight - Clashing with an ITV 4 (and Setanta)... which has had opportunity for more publicity.
How many "lay" fans know that Degale is fighting next week? Its a huge gamble signing a fighter just for the colour of his Olympic medal... cause it is a completely different sport to the pro's - last two Olympians haven't fulfilled their promise (yet, Khan is still only 22).

Before Frank signed the three Olympians I would have said he was seriouslyon the rocks, but not so much now.
On a side note with regards to TV deals; Is the Hennessy ITV deal in jeopardy? Or is he just talking with other stations for Froch-Taylor out of pure courtesy![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Anyone want to dig out the spitting rant that Boxingchat fired at me when I suggested the above?boxbet wrote: Enzo believed the fight was on but it was never going to be. Enzo's purse went from Large to £10K non title fight. 25% of that to Frank, and some to tax man.

Enzo is a top man, definitely. I've never met him but I can tell he's a genuine nice guy not like
some who are often percieved as being 'nice lads'.

It probably would have been if he paid $450k for Enzo Vs Banks just so that Enzo could join Calzaghe promotions the day after.Adamj1987 wrote:hopefully this is the end of warren as a big time promotion but me thinks ive got false hope

Enzo should ditch Warren because he's been let down by him since the Haye fight.

Yep I met Enzo Macc at one of Joe's fights, and can vouch he's a genuine nice guy, a real down to earth type.
Is he leaving Warren for sure then? No surprise if he's going with the Welsh camp I suppose, yet even he'd have to admit - FW pretty much handed him the WBO title on a plate, and was about to again. With a side order of fries.
