Good luck to Jennings tonight, he is going to need it.

Post by ROCKYMARSHMELLOW »

Hope Jennings doesn't get to wupped tonight, hope he can at least make it competitive.

He needs to use a lot of movement and angles, the kid has got some decent skills but just hasn't fought nowhere near the league Cotto has. Cotto can plod a bit in his fights so I am expecting it to at least go a few rounds. But I can see Cotto catching up with him late on.

Anyway, good luck to him he seems like a good lad.

there are a few of us coming over :D we all had a big bust up with the guy that ran the dogpound (glaxor) so its time to join a real forum without the problems and abusive Americans. Champ4ever should be joining us and maybe Jtourettes and menty. Watson us already here and calls himself Spidatrap as is quixall. we stopped the prediction league to which was a shame as it was pretty good. I come here in peace and am just a simple man who wants to talk boxing with like minded souls.

wat other forum are u guys talking about? i went on warriorboxing this week. I don't like it. Too many ads, sh*t navigation and the posters don't seem as knowledgeable, plus they seem more obsessed with each other than with boxing.
No, BOXREC's where it's at gentlemen :TU:

Predictable question, but will somebody make a round-by-round thread? I was going to go to my Mum's to watch, but they've got company.

Anyway, like everyone else, I'm hoping for the upset, but I cannot see anything other than a brutal Cotto KO victory.

Jennings has nice technical skills, and is a good all-round boxer, but as we know, hasn't competed anywhere near the level that Cotto operates at. Due to Jennings' lack of power, Cotto will just walk through him take him out within three rounds, although I can quite realistically see a first round job.

Having said that, hope I'm wrong!

Round One - Cotto in charge, jennings on the retreat, good solid right hand from Cotto, Jennings face looking reddened already. He looks like a drowning man.

Round Two - Cotto steps up the pace, appears to realise nothing in front of him of danger, nice hooks to the body by Cotto, nice pressure by Cotto, backing up Jennings

Round Three - Ditto

Round Four - Cotto wins KO

Happy now? :D

Good to see you here Rock man :D

As for Jennings, it's a tall order and i hope he does'nt get beaten up too badly. It;s a once in a lifetime fight for a fighter like him and one that he had to take and i'm pleased for him, because he has had a lot of major setbacks in his life and this fight will stay with him forever, no matter what happens and he will earn a few quid aswell. i wish the kid all the luck in the world, but i feel it could resemble the Pavlik - Lockett fight and end inside 6 rounds....

Good luckk though Jennings :box:
