if you could make one domestic fight what would it be?

Post by jspain »

well as the question says what domestic fight would you make , disregard the promoter rivals

id like to see khan v murray.

do you guys reckon that fight will happen if khan loses to barrera although i am getting this unshakable feeling that khan might just be getting barrera at the right time. maybe im going mad.

same question for the world scene

maybe pavlik v abraham or hopkins v dawson possibly.

If Khan beats Barrera and you could be right on the timing issues, then Khan will jump over Murray and avoid him like the plague, because he will be looking for maybe two or three more fights and then a title shot with 18 months. I personally think that Khan would have too much speed, movement and power for Murray and would beat him, but Khan will avoid the domestic scene if he can and beating Barerra will allow him to do just that IMO....

A fight i would liek to see at domstic level would be Haye vs Skelton

and on the international scene Mayweather vs Pacquaio.......Now that i would love to see, if Mayweather comes out of retirement and fought at 147lbs

yeah hopkins will grow old some day. but he's 44 and shows no sign of slowing down yet. can only go on a fight to fight basis i suppose. he is spacing out his fights well. is there any word who or when hopkins will box again?

the groves degale and sutherland fights could be massive in a couple of years. groves has had a couple of fights so far but all we have seen of him is the clips on the bunce show. hopefully he will be on a few hayemaker bills that are going to be broadcast.

on the world scene i think Hopkins-Dawson is an interesting one but the thing is Hopkins has to grow old one day :o doesent he? :box:
Yeah good one. I'dlike to see Sutherland - Degale over 10 rounds.

World - Haye vs either Klitschko

My dream list is short as I get bored of average domestic class easily, sorry

Hide v Enzo (mac not cal tee hee)
Khan v Murray would be fascinating and sod who is better, I will always favour a chin over a chinless. I can never put money on a guy who is liable to collapse at any punch

I'm going to focus on a few younger competitors as I have gotten pretty tired of late of seeing British fights with a clear favourite and a guy on the slide or outclassed. I want two guys giving everything to win:

Brook -vs- Cox
Fury -vs- Olubamiwo
Cleverly - vs- MacIntosh
Barker -vs- McEwan

Would all be good fights. Worldwide, I'd love to see the following:

Pacquaio -vs- Mosley
Pavlik -vs- Abraham
John -vs- Gamboa

Another vote for Brook v Jennings. Jennings is experienced and talented at British level, and Brook remains a rather untested prospect at genuine British title level.

Murray/Thaxton would be quite tasty. I also wouldn't mind seeing Cleverly/Francis and McIntosh/Oakey.
