Said that was a sad indication of doghouse at the moment and Glax deleted it the swine, then PM'd to scold me
Well anyway, quite enjoying it here, lively posting and thus far, not full of the type of morons who frequent boxing chat on doghouse as I presumed would be the case.
One curiosity for older members here - what boxers or boxing insiders are known to post on here? We had several back in the day on doghouse and as this seems the new internet home I am presuming you have our old ones (Bunce, Rawlings to name two) and possibly some other ones too.
Oh and are doghouse guys using same names?
That's disgusting and just shows what a moron the guy is......
A debate or forum is about expressing opinions, not trying to agree with the the boss man all the time !!
Just proves you made the right decision mate. All the lads are here now, except a few and it's going to great on Boxrec. As a forum, it pisses all over dogpound
I started posting over there as TheDamned about a year or so ago after having an account for a while and not realising it! I didn't used to go in the UK section over there until quite recently because it's always so dead but staying in boxing chat for too long listening to how every fighter nowadays is a quitter or a bum gets very boring after a while.
The best thing about the pound is the little group of posters on the UK section, who have all emigrated over here by the looks of things, and of course the prediction league which was superbly run by Quixall and BIGMARK (at least until i was on for promotion and then they obviously got intimidated by my excellence and decided to stop it).
Anyway, my favourite fighter of all time is Sugar Ray Leonard, with my favourite British fighter being Naseem Hamed. Out of the current set of active fighters my favourite is Miguel Cotto.
Nice to meet you all!
p.s cheers for the pm BIGMARK if you hadn't sent that i'd probably be in the UK section over there all by myself right now
How does it feel to post a TOPIC and have a load of REPLIES??
As James Brown would say..'I feel good....da da d a da da da da.. I knew that I wouldd now!
Does anyone else wish Anthony Small did not use that music? His dancing is so shit its spoilt the tune for me.
It;s great DG and it's the main reason why we are all here....
I posted up a thread on the dogpound about clinton Woods, five or six days ago and after three days i got just 3 replies Then i posted the same thread on Boxrec and after two days, i had 34 replies
That's the difference, plus no pop-up shit and crashes....
Ps I just hope that Rhodes makes Small do the chicken dance a la Zab Judah

On the dog pound, the league was a monthly format, where posters put down all of their predictions in one go and then we would calculate weekly and post up the divisions. The average was about 5 or 6 fights a week and it worked well, but i appreciate that some like a weekly laegue, but thanks for supporting the idea.....
It was clearly a flawed system with a bunch of cheating egomaniacs running it, and that is why I was relegated every month [/quote
Or maybe it was just your sheer lack of judgement toby 8) ]
I press the quote button, but sometimes it dies'nt always come out a s it should

Then it got up and running and it was impossible to browse it discreetly, pops ups were a pain in the arse and kept freezing my work PC up, not good when you are in the same office as your boss. Jacked it in after being unable to post.
You'll be reet here
Thanks Terence....
I wish you would say all that to the guy who is running the pound (Glaxor)
He does'nt think what you have said is a issue and nothing to do with him

A little off topic, but this thread got me thinking about the different forums I've posted on and then I looked at the date I joined here (the first forum I joined). I've been posting on boxing forums for about 5 years now. I can't bloody believe it, where does the time go.

i was on the doghouse for over 5 years and a bit of an old timer with more than 5000 post
Same here. I signed up a day or two after it opened and I read the news on the site before it even had a forum. It's crazy how the internet has changed things.

its weird now to think i was a bit scared to post on a forum when i first discovered the net back then i was still buying boxing magazines and reading teletex as my main form of getting boxing news
Same here. I used to get my fight tapes from advertisements on the back of boxing monthly as well. I actually found this place through a guy on yahoo chat who directed me here. IronFistJohn was his name.
