Yes, I agree - Barrera v Lloyd was way worse than Vargas v Clarke, because it was one systematic, brutal round... though I wouldn't say Howard was ever really in the fight, just coping on the move until Vargas got to him. Ali v London was horrible too. I haven't seen any tapes but Pascual Perez v Dai Dower was all over inside a round, and the reports suggest it was a pummelling not just one great punch like Nelson-Cowdell. The Tyson-Bruno rematch was as one-sided as you get, too, and Ruben Olivares walking through Alan Rudkin in a couple of rounds. I guess we've had a lot to choose from...

Ike Williams against Ronnie James in Cardiff was a bad one. James went down six times before he was halted in the ninth round. Emile Griffith also brutalized Brian Curvis for 15 rounds at Wembley, dropping him three times with body shots. The most one-sided world title fight I have ever witnessed is the Hagler-Minter one, although the crowd evened things up a little (I say that with a sense of black humour). Remarkably, Minter stayed on his feet.

Fernando Vargas v Howard Clarke ... He was down five times, I think. I've always liked Howard. He had more ability than his performances after 1999 showed.

BBBC should have done something about Clarke's "career" after that. Clearly he was a talented boxer with some potential.

Although i have never seen the fight i'd say Vic Toweel v Danny O'Sullivan might of been one sided, as Danny was floored 14 times!! But Danny must of been tough to make it to the 10th round.

In fact four fights before boxing for the world title, Danny challenged for the Euro Bantam title and was floored 11 times in that one.

And Andries/Hearns was pretty ugly...Dennis was down 5 or 6 times I think - though I always thought he actually floored Hearns at one point, but with all the mauling it was hard to tell.

Naz barrerra wasnt a beating, it was just that most folk expected naz to win. Naz won probably 3-4 rounds.

Hatton PBF wasnt a beating either with hatton competetive up til around the 8 when he went ape shit after the point deduction and left himself open.


Williams Vitali now that was a beating. Getting dropped that many times and keep coming back for more....I remember I watched that with James MC from on here round mine, and we were both STAY DOWN DANNY PLEASE JUST STAY DOWN by the end. Horrible to watch and far too brave for his own good that night was Danny.

Mayweather v Hatton wasn't exactly an even fight either and Floyd really began to batter him from round six onwards.

Bradley v Witter wasn't close either, how Junior felt he should have won was beyond me, I thought he won 3 rounds maximum

I will never forget that show either, twenty Six. the arena was freezing cold and their were a lot of bad knockouts that night, including the ill fating Paul Ingle fight -they should have stopped it far sooner than they did.he was hurt in the first round and never recovered.

Esham's fight was upsetting. I last trained with him on tuesday that week and then did not see him until the weigh in on the Friday, and did'nt even recognise him until he spoke, such was his weight loss.Totally drianed and it was upsetting seeing him go down like that.Ryan won on points that night and Buster had a right tear up with Bruce Scott and Neil Sinclair was a in and up and downer with Daniel Santos.Brutal night.I'll not forget that in a hurry.
