Hi guys just wondered what your opinions on the following are.
Peter Oboh( current britsih light heavy weight champ) watched him against andrew lowe and fought he was business but now found out he is like 35,, looked so so good as well.??
also what use think about scottich prospects

Your right about Oboh, he is an awkard customer who could cause one or two problems at world level (I would love to see him against Tiozzo). very awkard to face and obviously has deceptive power.
His age is a problem, but (from what I have read) lives a disciplined life and looks as if he is going through a prolonged indian summer - there is a couple of good years left in him.
From what I have seen of the Scottish lads, both look very promising (I think Gary Young has the better potential) although I have only seen both once or twice, so maybe the Scottish posters will help you.

Gary Young I like. Seen him fight often as an amateur and have caught him a few times as a pro. works well behind his left jab. his record currently stands around 10-0. a young guy but figths in quite a mature fashion tending to sit back and pick his shots. the support he receives from his friends and family from Gilmerton is amazing for a relative novice. Kevin Anderson I havent seen that much of to be honest. Like Young he has a good Amateur pedigree winnning numerous titles up here. I know hihs manager Tommy Gilmour rates him very highly, due to his all action style and is tipping him for a hot at some sort of title this year.
If your looking for a good Scottish prospect to follow keep an eye out for Clovenstones Craig McEwan ex amatuer welterweight champ currently out till possibly October with a hand injury which he damaged even more fighting and losing in Azerbijan for an Olympic place. There many managers lining up chasing his signature although he plans to fight at the world champs next year in Beijing. He regularly is the most active of all amateurs up here boxing on average twice a week. nice fluid in and out style of fighting, moves well, use the ring effectively and flicks his jab in nicely, similar in a way to Ken Buchanan.
All three guys are amongst our top guys for the future up here, but if I had to chose one for the future McEwan would be my man when he turns pro

! grew up in Wester Hailes , Westburn to be exact, so always take an interest in the guys boxing out of clovenstone. Rab McEwan seems to be doing a fantastic job there. I wish there was something like that when I was growing up there.

im going to be fighting at light heavy next season,, just getting ready for it, only had one fight so far. it was his 7th,,,,, my first and i was 14st( mostly fat) so bad idea..
go disqaulified in the last round for holding /pushing, that was a year ago and kind off put me off, but back in the grove now and really looking forward till next season,,, hopefully going to get a lot of fights next term.. as you were saying craig is going in for an operation was doing some light sparring ect today... hes had like over 300 fights now.. lol...
will be great when he hits the pros in a year.......should go farrrrrrrrrrr

forgot to say the club is minted,,,, full revamp cost a lot of money but top facilities now mate really is... another one to watch out for at Clovenstone is gary Macmillan just turned 17,,,, and hes something in the making really is.. knocks out me think the last was Andy Hill who is rated in the top ten in the ENGLISH ABA RATINGS, knocked him out at the hilton before the end of the season,,,,

i was never really that dedicated to be honest. was mates with a guy called jackie mcglauchlin who fought for sparta so i would go down there occasionally. tried out at leith vics on and off and meadowbank also. i got a real nasty cut above my left eye when i was 19-20ish which healed ok but would open again the minute anyone looked at it. so that was that
i changed clubs like the wind could never quite get settled or dedicated enough. would train every night for weeks then go months without leaving the settee. wasnt too bad and even if i say so myslef i could have and should have done a lot better than i did. i'll get "could do better" carved on my gravestone.
ive thought often about getting back into a spot of training again, im getting some gut on me, but im 34 now and really cant be bothered due to the fact ive always been a lazy bastard. but im guessing your young enough to make a go of it and i wish you all the best. as my grandad used to say to me.."stick in son". laughed at the time but i guess the old bugger was right.
