This is spooky I was honestly thinking the same thing last night whilst trying to stay awake during the Enzo fight.

The thing i'm thinking about wasn't called sky gold but it showed all the old british & european title fights featuring Conteh, Finnegan etc. they should be putting this stuff on too.

Doubt they will as it will emphasise the massive difference between the shows they put on now compared to fights happening back in the day.

Just has a thought If SKY did show a lot of the old Uk fighters Conteh, Green, Stacy etc etc It may show up some of their current live shows for the shams they are at times.

I'm not sure what day it is, Thursday I think, but late night/early morning sometime this week channel 5 are showing one of the Eubank vs Benn fights, and at the same time on channel four are showing another classic fight. Off the top of my head I can't remember which one but it is definately featuring one of those two, I think Eubank. Also before it on channel five there is a fight of the week.

So if you miss classic fights on Sky, that might be worth a look. I don't always watch them but caught a few classic Muhammad Ali fights, and once saw an interesting one with Prince Nassems first three professional fights on, so they can be quite entertaining.

Yeah, Channel five are especially good - often show the fights in full aswell. I believe Eubank vs Thorton and Benn vs Eubank 1 are on late night this week on C5.

Didn't know Channel 4 show classic boxing, anybody know what day and time.

I was a student at the time and so missed most of them   As my student digs didn't have Sky TV (unlike many today).

I had to find other ways to entertain myself. :TU:

How times have changed mate, my halls had sky in the common room. Led to some good nights, Barrera vs Morales etc...

I used to love boxing gold. I think the last one i remember seeing was the first fight between Eubank and Collins, but i've definitely seen Watt and Buchanan (amongst others) on that show. I don't know when they stopped showing boxing gold though, it seems like a long while since it's been on.

Didn't Sky show this still as far as last year - they also showed the Army vs Navy on a ringside show.

I remember Haye on one bill, was the star attraction - fighting a tough but limited sub opponent. Haye lost and at the time I didn't think much of him.

Proving me wrong, although his stamina aint been tested.
