According to the Bolton Evening News Khan's fight is .....

Post by whicker »

...... off limits for his family members. Usually a large number of his family are at ringside, but apparantly they will not be there for his Manchester fight against Barrera. I think this is unsually, although I havn't read the article directly so I might just be getting the wrong end of the stick!

I can understand why they wouldn't want to be there, could be added pressure for Khan etc.

When they are as young as 18 months ( as one member was) I think it is right to leave them at home.

His mum fainted whe he was mashed down ( she was ringside) and that is not good for anyone to see.

well to honest with you .no child at the age of 2 or 3 should be allowed to attend boxing matches.they should be tucked in bed . also people at ringside get really annoyed with this as well. .

Sorry, yeah- I myself only heard this on another message board, I haven't read the paper myself. So possibly a different paper or just mixed up gossip. Could have been an old story that someone has just mentioned recently. Who knows?

I wouldn't want my family there either. I box and I don't mind bringing a couple friends, a brother, or a cousin or two to come watch for support, but whose mum wants to see their son get smashed in the face? Even my father isn't keen on it.

Haha. I am not laughin in a malevolent way, I am just laughin at the ignorance of mummy....it's not all strawberries and cream. She is happy to watch some other womens' sons gets blasted out as long as it's not her own. Like the sticker says "shit happens".
Personally I think any right mother wouldn't want to be at ringside. Just my humble opinion. Lol she'll be better prepared for next time

I cant think why anyone would take a child to a boxing match let alone sit at ring side with them when a close family member is fighting its fornicating sick, khans family do my head in at ringside there's just so many of them all going mental.
