Can some one give some information on these 80’s fights
Breland vs The Magic Man II – I heard the draw verdict was controversial but to whom?
Lloyd Honeyghan vs Vaca I – Why did Lloyd struggle?
Breland vs Honeyghan – was Lloyd finished?
And also Starling vs Blocker.

Re: Welterweight fight info
It's been a long time since I've seen these, but here's what I remember.
Breland vs The Magic Man II should have been a clear decision win for Starling, but I was a huge Starling fan so maybe I'm biased.
Lloyd Honeyghan vs Vaca I. Not really sure why he struggled so much in this fight, although it may have been because he didn't prepare properly, but Vaca was a very tough customer. Anyone else?
Breland vs Honeyghan – was Lloyd finished? I don't think he was finished as much he had no clue how to handle the very tall hard punching Breland. A bad matchup for Lloyd.
And also Starling vs Blocker. Blocker was the better man that night, as much because Starling was a bit faded, but he fought a very good fight.

Re: Welterweight fight info
Starling was prone to laziness in the ring and here was one example where he essentially laid abck on the ropes, never in trouble but not doing enough to win rounds. Starling was a top boxer but he could be outhustled and this fight shows you why... Didn't Buzz once say he dropped some money betting on this fight?
Honeyghan was all over the place by this point. His hands could no longer stand up to a full fight. He had problems outside the ring and basically went sleepwalking... I also feel that he was controlled in his agression against Curry and Blocker. By this point he'd blown away essentially Jr Welters and was believing his own hype. he was wading in with a false sense of imperviousness.
I think he was finished against Breland. There was nothing there. I think Lloyd-Breland would have been an excellent fight at one point but by this time it was over.
Blocker was/is quite an underrated fighter.
