no offence but there are a few reasons I don't like this post.
1) Khan does have a chin. "No chin" is far, far too dismissive. Against Limond he got up and stopped him. Against Prescott he just jumped in stone cold against a guy with a 98.5% knock out ratio. Anyone would get KO'd doing that. Not to mention the fact I know of plenty of examples of a fighter doing exactly the same thing, and yet showing they have a fantastic chin in other fights. I never ever liked that quote "The boxer is doing what's expected of him - bleeding from the nose". Whether intended or not it sounds derrogatory to me, like they are mugs. What boxers do do though, from time to time, is get knocked out or knocked over. Lewis , Calzaghe, Hatton, the lot of 'em. This doesn't indicate "no chin".

2) Who gives a toss what Fwank Warren can, or wants to do. No disrespect to you, again, I'm a poster more interested in the boxers than the promoters.

3) If Khan did win, then the popular consensus would be that Khan has skipped the apprenticeship and gone straight for major world honours where the guys at the top are A+ in ALL areas. Technical ability, experience, punch power, heart, etc..etc.. so the thinking is that Khan would get hammered.....Who in the hell wants to see this, I'd rather see him built up more gradually than fast-tracked to the top only to milk the cash cow for all it's worth.
Why have a ten percent chance of a world title at age 21 when you can wit til age 24 and have a 70-80% chance, and PROLONG your career and also earnings by avoiding a potential major beating early on that could finish him. (see Joe Calzaghe).

Finally, if Khan did beat Barrera and fight Marquez then again "an easy win" "for a few rounds work" ...is it really a foregone conclusion?

I agree Murray has had a better start than khan because he is going through the levels wheras Khan didnt he fought 4 the commonwealth and is now fighting a top 10 LW in MAB and if he wins hes rite up there with the best which in my opinion is wrong

I tend to agree with that. And I like Khan. But I just can't see Khan getting out of the way of all the counters of Marquez and taking them without going down. But credit where credit is due if Khan beats Barrera. Barrera maybe past his best but he is defnitely not shot and it wasn't that long ago he gave Marquez all he could handle.

If Khan beats Barrera (which of course he will, easily, by mid round stoppage) This puts him far beyond his british challengers, makes a name for himself and a license to fight over the hill blown up featherweights on PPV for the forseeable future, beacause he will be the man who succeeded in knocking out MAB, where Pac (2nd fight), Morales, Marquez and Naz all failed. The kid MUST be a legend worthy of PPV status.

I think everyone has been expecting Khan to step up in class after all the talking he's been doing, but the Prescott fight showed us he's still got a lot of work to do, and taking on Marquez IF he beats Barrera is crazy. F**k that. It's all good and well taking on the best opponants, but only do it if your ready for them. We all shouted for Calzaghe & Hatton to take on bigger names at different times, but that's because they'd proven all they needed to against the fghters they were fighting. Khan however is still a work in progress and doesn't need to be thrown in against arguably the best p4p fighter in the world a couple of fights after being chinned in a round.

Agreed. If Khan beats Barrera some solid top 30 guys would be good for him. Javier Jauergui type guys. The worst thing his management could do his push him too quickly if beats Barrera and get him KTFO again.
