Many fighters put a good stone on after weigh ins. I thought we all knew about this.

Thats part of it - they eat very little and drain the body of water, hence the problem with the cerebal fluid surrounding the brain being diminished and causing the brain to crash against the now lacking in protective fluid skull.

The smaller guys are at the most risk.

Is very rare that this happens to the heavyweights because they do not need to drain.

:D
This is the reason weigh ins were brought forward to the preceeding day of the fight to allow the fighters to rehydrate. Weigh ins on the day of the fight was cited as a contributing factor for ring fatalaties as the fighters who were weight drained struggled to rehydrate.

Every time Hatton opens his mouth, the more and more i want him to get beat.

At a guess i would say if Hatton goes into the ring at 154 he weighs more than most Welterweights do on fight night ? If that's the case, then his "avoidance" of this division makes him more of a fraud.

Well you would be wrong. Most Welterweights weigh more not less

You are a wazzock of the highest order. Every single fighter out there cuts weight. If Manny wants to move up to Hatton's territory, that's his lookout, it's not Ricky's fault Manny wants the fight.

Very few fighters weigh the same on fight night as they do at the weighin, Morales, Vargas, Mayorga and Margarito are prime examples

Joshua Clottey put on 23lbs when he fought Zab, Margarito puts on 12-14 pounds, Cotto used to put on more than Hatton when he was down at 140.

Greg Page was a combination of age and punishment.

And it is very rare in the heavyweight division. Its a proven fact that the lower weight fighters are more at risk.

Its also proven that it is weight making that causes the real long term damage/trauma in Boxing.

Why should he?

Is there a bigger fight than Pacquiao? Nup

I know what you are saying but we don't live in an ideal world(if we did we'd all be communists) so you make the most out of the advantages at hand.

I just think it's hilarious that Hatton is the only fighter who gets stick for it.

WTF? What the hell is this? Psychological warfare? If Hatton weighs in at 140 lbs, which he will have to without a single lb above. He thinks he's gonna gain 14 lbs (1 stone) by fight time? If I'm not mistaken the official weigh in is only 24 hours between then and fight time, no?

Surely this is madness. Won't he be bloated?

Hatton got in the Ring at 154 against Malignaggi
No, Hatton was 152 lbs (for HBO's weigh in). Pacquiao will weigh close to 150 lbs when they fight. Weight will not determine the winner.

Yep, weights got sod all to do with this fight.

If Hatton can take Pac Mans left hand he will win a thriller down the stretch. At some point, probably early he will be caught with it. Will be very interesting to see what happens after that bomb lands.

Not sure if Pacman can really hurt him with single shots. If he gets in and out with fast combos then Hatton will be in trouble but Hatton took Kostya’s best and no1 will ever convince me Pac throws nearly as hard.

DLH said Pacman does not hit hard at all but DLH has a better chin than Hatton.

I couldnt care less what HBO said, there are videos on you tube of hatton in the changing rooms before the malignaggi fight and he states he had put on 14lbs since the weigh in. Thats 154lb in total
