Discussions of Pro Boxers on the Amateur Forum
Since there is already a forum set up to discuss pro boxers, I would like to suggest that such discussions not be included on the amateur boxing forum. What does everyone else think?

I agree, but there is an area that sort of overlaps for amateurs that have recently turned professional. It just feels weird to just stop discussing a boxer in this forum the day he or she has a pro debut. I'm not sure how to address those scenarios, which seem to be the most frequent "pro" posts here. Second on the list would be the amateur careers of well-established pro boxers.boxmel wrote:Since there is already a forum set up to discuss pro boxers, I would like to suggest that such discussions not be included on the amateur boxing forum. Almost EVERY amateur boxer turns pro "recently."I agree, but there is an area that sort of overlaps for amateurs that have recently turned professional. It just feels weird to just stop discussing a boxer in this forum the day he or she has a pro debut.

Thing is most of the people on the pro forum don't follow the amateurs and have no idea who these guys are until they have around ten fights, unless they were Olympians, so its hard to have a discussion there. Maybe the cut off should be 5-10 fights, then turn to the pro forum or something like that.
