I would have McCloskey and Rogan above Duddy. Just because McCloskey is fighting at British title level, last year he beat Garnica and Bazan on the international scene and Wright and Lynes (a recent European champion) while Rogan beat the current European champion as well as Audley and the Prizefighter thing.

Because Duddy has bypassed domestic and European levels doesn't necessarily mean he is above that level. Fighting guys like Charles Howe and Matt Vanda while waiting for a shot at Pavlik (which may or may not happen) plus 8 months out of action means he drops to 3rd for me

Overall, it's a good list and always stokes up debate.

I would drop Andy Lee about 4 places, as he hasn't beaten very good opposition so far in his career and has been inactive recently.

Agreed, Rogan & McCloskey are the best of Irish at the moment. Solid win for Duddy last time out, but he didn’t win in a style which suggests that he’s a threat to any of the big boys. If Dunne can upset Cordoba he goes top, but I reckon he will outclassed. Lee is way too high. Magee should be ahead of Lee, Lindsay & Macklin. I reckon Sutherland will be the man in a couple of years, Fury & Egan are two prospects worth watching.

As an Irish title holder who is clearly proud of his heritage I think Jamie Moore should be on this list - he is in a similar position to Macklin (a fighter of Irish decent with strong family links to Ireland).

I dunno - they are both Irish champions at their weight so I think they should be both listed.

Macklin is born and raised in Brum (Solihull) and whilst he is often out in the large Irish community in Brum I don't see why he should make the cut and Moore miss out to be honest.

Still, its your list so its down to you who gets rated I suppose..

Jamies a great lad, if he was on the list I have him at numbero uno - or should I say "uimhir aon" - I wish him all the best.

But he doesnt consider himself Irish - Macklin does - that pretty much the criteria for gettin included in the list. Macklin spent a lot of his youth in Ireland and both parents are Irish, loads of fights in Ireland, been based in Ireland, Irish sponsor, Peters promoted him for ages etc - you get the picture.

I know Moore is proud of his Irish roots but dont think he considers himself Irish like Macklin does

Same as me then. Its a great opportunity for Macklin and I know as a boxing historian he will know the significance and amazing history of the Lonsdale belt. Its going to be a war on saturday and I cant wait!

I had a dream last night that Matthew Macklin ko'd Elcock in the third round! It was a really vivid dream and I don't usually dream about boxing so it was quite strange!Should I follow my intuition and put some money on a 3rd round stoppage?

In regards to your p4p list, I would put Duddy in 3rd due to opposition not being of a high level, McCloskey in 1st and Dunne in 2nd, other than that it is an accurate list.
