I realize this is a real longshot, but I thought I'd give it a try! My mother(who is now in her eighties) remembers as a girl having a neighbor named Tom Kelly. He was old back in the 1930's, but told her about being a boxer and had a huge facial scar from a fight. He would have probably fought in the Philadelphia are around the turn of the century.
