I will believe it when the first bell sounds.

I certainly wont be buying a ticket in anticipation of a "VH missed the plane so Ricky will be fighting a small glove puppet of Sue from Sooty & Sweep" scenario

Let's hope it's not a publicity gimmick. This is the first real fight for Ricky since the Eamonn Magee one (when I mean 'real', I mean a fight involving someone who is coming to win).

I still won't believe it until its officially announced everywhere. Only a few days ago I was reading how the Spadafora fight was very close to being made.

Same here mate.

Really hope this fight does happen though, For me anything less than a fight with a top 5 Light-Welterweight for Hatton will be a let-down.

IMO Hatton can (in terms of ability) and should only be fighting with the VERY BEST from now on.

Strange that Harris is announcing it, and that he's got a date which is impossible (monday night), and there's not a dicky-bird on allegedly's site. Perhaps Harris is trying to smoke Hatton out, or perhaps he's just on the crack.

Yes I reckon that's pretty much it.

Smoke him out that is, not smoking crack....

Monday night though, what a twat!

Would Monday night actually be possible?

Bizzarre yes, but if that means Ricky Hatton's biggest fight could be on a Monday, then that's good enough.

Naturally like everyone else I would obviously rather it be on a Saturday or even a Friday if need be, but I have never heard of a big fight on a Monday.

I doubt if Vivian actually designs or input to his own website, so think we're being a bit off saying he's on something.

I hope it's the w/e 9th as I go away the Sunday after!

Hatton will get beat if this fight happens, if you doubt this then I suggest you look at Hattons ridiculous record!!!!! Fighting old men and lightweights will be his downfall.

Harsh, IMO Bennie - I think Tackie gave it is all in preperation and effort, just outguned. If anything Magee himself didn't come to win, because in the opinion of many he lost the fight as opposed to Hatton winning it. The lack of desire and effort during the middle stages cost him dearly. Tackie tried his guts out and was considered a threat.
