How do you find out about amatuer events in your area?

I am looking to compete in some amatuer events but I don't know where to find out about them. Where and when are they held? I live in Portland Oregon so if anyone has any info it would be appreciated.

Are you a registered boxer? Do you train at a boxing gym? Typically, the coaches at the gym know how to find out about local boxing shows. If you are not training at a gym and you are unattached, I would suggest contacting some of the local gyms for information. You can also contact the LBC in your area.
