I recall 6'2" in height, that he was at his best around 212 lbs and that he would come into the ring with a black cowboy hat, black or dark gray rain slicker and a bandana across his face. Fought a contoversial 8 rd decision loss to FRANS BOTHA in '92 before BOTHA hit the steriods. While never a Heavyweight title threat HUNTER is another fighter who had talent beyond his record. he shouldve had a cruiserweight title fight but couldnt behave himself with the old "bad habits".

i remember his pre fight interview before the botha fight, his eyes were darting around and he looked sweaty. he was blatantly on something.

alot of people dont realise although he had no punch, in the 1st round he put botha down!!

he did beat pinklon thomas, oliver mccall and tyrell biggs. also dwight qawi and ossie ocasio so thats FIVE world champs, six if you add botha who he beat easily, and he also beat contenders like jimmy thunder, buster mathis jr and alex zolkin. so maybe he could have been a heavyweight threat had he had a bigger fight.

something more meaningful should have happened in his career though. shame. never got a big fight.

Bounty Hunter even gave Lennox fits in sparring sessions to the point that Lennox didn't want him in camp because he made him look bad

did anyone see mikes fight with marion wilson? i know he was on drugs and going down hill at the time but surely he couldnt lose to marion wilson?

anyone have anything to add bout mike? i wonder when he sparred with lennox?
