Poor ticket sales could jeopardize a show, especially when the promoter has bid over the odds to win purse bids.
There was speculation that the Arena would be too big for this show.
How many of the fights from the original line-up are already cancelled ? Are these fights being replaced ? :geek:

Poor ticket sales do effect a shows outcome, I remember a few yrs ago, a show was supposed to be in Birminghams Arena, then got switched to York Hall because of bad ticket sales, but the 'Excuse at the time' was there was a bomb threat,

Eric,
I didn't say that ticket sales don't affect shows - of course they do.
What Dogbreath is intimating is that Rhodes' illness and therefore inability to fight is a consequence of poor ticket sales.
What absolute and utter crap.

Damn, I ordered and paid for my tickets a while ago.
Look forward to hearing if there's a decent replacement as the two main events have now fallen apart.

Decided to go to this rather than the Khan - MAB show because I didn't trust Warren to keep a bill together!

but then Rhodes was not the main event, Dodson is, and you have local fighters on the bill, surely this is well supported,

Bollocks.

Some tickets were a rip off to begin with, now it just looks a joke. Unless they do a buy one get one free this show is screwed.

I'm not complaining about a boxer specifically, but this card now is a small hall card being sold at Arena prices.

This is a serious disapointment. It was gearing up to be a very interesting fight and with genuine needle.

You can use the Arenas booking system, still seems some near front row stuff available at all levels except the £28.

What is the problem with people on here concerning Ryan Rhodes??

For F*ck sake he has flu has had it for sometime and it has not only affected his training but due to not being able to do anything then brings into question about "making the weight" etc etc

Small v Rhodes is a real fight and one both fighters should not take lightly and if either one of them went into the fight anything less than 100% they are making a great big F*ck up!!! - Rhodes and his management (Dave Coldwell) in my view are being sensible in pulling out if things are not right - well done to them for having the balls to do so!!! - Ryan Rhodes will prove his worth when the time is right!!!

On the promotional side of things - I have my thoughts and they will remain private except to say - "respect" and "how to treat people" from the top to the very bottom can win a lot of friends !!! :TU:
