Friday Fight Night Tonight

Post by whicker »

Quite a big card, but no fight stands out, to be honest. Main even probably worth watching , but hard to get very excited about.

i did 18months ago, i only had it for boxing, and the friday fight nights are a bag of shite, prefer ITV4 cards, plus you dont have to pay

To be fair to FFN, there have been some good shows recently. But this pre-recording stuff then showing them after the main event as highlights is boring , too.

Whats the undercard like then? Main fight isn't too much of an exciting prospect either but I'm not out so may as well watch.

Ok so granted its a card that doesnt produce much excitment , but ive looked at fnf and that aint that great sometimes . Maybe you should be grateful that you can have a regular show in such a small country, remember the good run of brit title fights?
Btw is there much interest in mccloskey over there, he is my tip for big things and possible world titlist or on the world level. To me he is Irelands best. Any thoughts?

Small? Ok, physically quite small, but I'd say Britain was the second biggest country world wide for regular professional boxing.

I don't why promotors don't just go for a few more interesting match ups.

Round 1 was quite exciting McCloskey landed a sweet shot on Harrisons chin. Harrison did well to last the round.

Do you get the feeling that McCloskey is going to get caught by a big counter by someone, leaves his chin high sometimes, don't think that Harrison will do it though

McCloskey is holding his hands very low but seems to think he has the mark of Harrison, might not do the same everytime. Harrison cut to add to his torment.

Yeah ,all over. McCloskey looked good, seems to have added some more power into his punches.

I'm getting pissed off with this Friday Fight Night tonight, it's 40 minutes in and I've had 4 rounds of boxing. Now it's a long Khan Barrerra advert, I'm, not buying it but I have paid for Friday fight night and I want some f*cking fights!!!

Well the Appleby fight wasn't much, the refs are just jumping in as soon as the opponent is slightly hurt.

James vs Riyaz was a decent little scrap, James took the fight but respect to Riyaz for making a real fist of it.
