I must be in the 0.1% then that doesn't.

that said I didn't see Limond live. I watched Gomez fights between pubs but missed the AK knockdown.

I think the knockers wel n truly got on the chinny Khan bandwagon after the Prescott disaster.

Hmmm let me see. Got up n won versus Limond. Got up n won versus Gomez. (didn't he once get up n win against Craig Watson too??)...N then against Prescott he jumps in after a round and get's Ko'd at the second attempt by a guy who's KO'd 19 in 21 wins.

Anybody would have been KO'd doing that, it was the approach, not the chin, that let Khan down that day.

I am an Amir Khan but as much as I would like to see the younger man, a Brit, get the baton passed to him by an ATG, I would also like to say I was there and got to see Barrera give a masterclass! Ya can't have your cake and eat it unfortunately.

I feel Barrera may take Khan out in the first half, however I would not be too surprised if Amir were to win.

taking me on there with your 4th post buddy haha :TU: .....welcome to Boxrec

you're right I'm not sure, let's face it, Khan versus a 30year, let alone a 21 or 22 year old Barrera wouldn't be a match up, hence it wouldn't have even been made. They're gambling on the fact that Barrera is getting on a bit.

Quite a few people on this forum, it would seem, don't like Amir Khan. I am not one of them, I like Amir and unlike some I don't want him to get "sparked out" and I certainly wouldn't laugh like a moron if he did. But feck it as they say in Dublin, for you I'll nail me colours to the mast and say I'd like to see Barrera do it.

As a boxing fan I don't want to see a true fighting man and boxing LEGEND get whupped just because they've singled him out past his prime (as well as smaller) . Khan on the other hand has years on his side for this kind of thing and if he did lose he could only learn from it

That said if Barrera starts whupping him round the ring like a rag doll my patriotism will probably kick in and I'll pull for Khan.....It's hard to explain!

I disagree.

First off he the fact that he was dropped points towards a bad chin, it doesn't matter that he got up, if he could take a shot he wouldn't have been down in the first place. Before Prescott he had been dropped 4 times by average punchers, and in the amateurs.

As for the Prescott fight, he was buckled by a jab and virtually done the first time the Colombian landed clean. The only people who get hurt by jabs are those with glass chins. People use the excuse that those shots would've knocked out anybody but in Prescotts next fight he hit a much smaller opponent, who had been stopped on multiple occasions (Humberto Toledo), over and over with punches just as hard and never came close to a stoppage. Not to mention he never hurt Richard Abril, the opponent in his fight prior to Khan.

If his chin isnt bad why has he been down 6 times in 20 fights?

Imagine if Mills Lane was the ref for KT vs Hatton - different fight, KT wins.

If it is a hometown Fwank Warren ref then its alll over for MAB bar the KO.

If it is the guy who did Haye Vs Enzo the its all over for MAB!

Is it John Keane?

We will see the USUAL KHAN STOPPAGE tonight lots of flurries with nothing landing and the ref jumps in.

Yes it matters that young asians often speak English better than English kids that only have one language. Its disgusting that people are getting 0 levels, yet their English is so poor. Very sad, that basic English errors are not seen as important.

Not sure the Nationality of the ref will make a big difference although English refs do seem to dive in a big quick. I really dont want to see a premature stoppage either way, be it a cut or a flurry of pitter patter punches.

I voted for a Barrera K.O., but since watching the Ventura and Rojas fights, i've changed my mind. I appreciate that Barrera was basically just blowing off the cobwebs in those contests, but he still didn't show a great deal. I can see Khan outspeeding and outworking him to score a points victory.

That said, if Gomez and Limond can worry Khan, and Prescott can destroy him, than Barrera, who was/(is?) five times the fighter any of those are, is certainly going to be in with a shot. There's a chance that Khan gets tagged, starts to panic and flail as he occasionally does, and Barrera just picks him off for the stoppage.

But yeah, Khan on points.

*Prepares to be proved horrifically, embarrassingly wrong*
