Danny Williams in Sunderland?
http://www.boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=573148
Does anyone have any further info about this show? At first i thought it must have been a mistake, but then remembered he's signed Tony Jeffries so this must be the big homecoming show that was talked about.
If it goes ahead it'll be fantastic for the north east, after years with little or no pro boxing we're having a bit of a mini resurgence with McCrory and the cubans too.

Sounds like a good card.
The first Williams McDermott fight was a decent scrap and McDermott deserves the rematch as I clearly thought he won the first fight

Re: Danny Williams in Sunderland?
I was just wondering the other day what sort of show they would have as the British "half" of the Hatton/PacMan PPV and here we are.
Looks a decent early line up, especially if Jamie Moore is in action as well, and it definitely makes buying a PPV more tempting with a card like this as well.

Possibly we could get a up Norf boxrec social piss-up, if not we could always try and arrange a night out in Byker at the Gala bingo.

Re: Danny Williams in Sunderland?
Really good looking card to be honnest I'm tempted to look up hotels in the North East and get donwn there myself.
Re: Danny Williams in Sunderland?
I will be looking forward to this. It wouldn't surprise me to see a red-hot Danny Williams come fight night. He's always been up-and-down, and after the Sosnowski disaster, I think Danny will knock McDermott out very early.
I also had Danny winning their first fight, even with all them deductions and the 10-8 round in the fifth.
C'mon Danny, I wanna see you in with Rocky Rogan.

Re: Danny Williams in Sunderland?
Danny has provided us with some great nights and I would like to see the man hang them up to be honest.
He owes no one anything and has nothing to prove.
Remember, Sosnowski didn't just edge him controversially on points. Losing in such fashion to a guy at that level(with all due respect)suggests it's over.
Rogan fans should leave Danny alone too!!! Wouldn't be so vocal if it was a prime Williams me thinks

If Mooresy confirmed, will be 'avin some of this. Minibus at the ready.
Besides, done a lot of graft up there, like the place. Probably the best 'curry half-mile' in the UK too.

Re: Danny Williams in Sunderland?
Again, with Moore and Munroe on as well it looks to be worth watching the PPV from the start to see it all.
Interesting that Maloney has banged all three of his biggest attractions, Moore, Munroe and Jeffries all on one card. Sunderland is wayyyy too far for me to attend but I hope the show sells well. With Jeffries in his home town, I'd imagine it will.
